Falling plum blossoms,
wind takes them—no one noticed.
Was I one of them?

Glass-winged moths hover,
opal figs drip milky dusk,
stars hum, ripe with light.

Sapphire tongues unfurl,
hummingbirds drink liquid silk,
air sings—syrup-laced.

The rain falls, unnoticed,
we’re all waiting for some sign—
but we are the storm.

Opal tendrils writhe,
sylphic breaths gild ebon tides,
vellichor unspools.

The Death of Desire

The arson of my dreams was set by me.
A brilliant blood orange glow.
Down an abandoned wreckage road.
Night and her dark velvet invitations.
Fuel my gasoline Lamentations.
A self inflicted burn, gives desire a final
blistering yearn.
Hope and wishes compose optimism's
lather.
But dreams are now dead blackened cadavers.
