oftentimes
all you will have
is your own
perseverance

it is in these times
you must
remember
to be thankful

if you have it
you will continue
to climb
and find.

if you don't
then you still
must be grateful,
fore the path
you are
bound to
is learning.
Written on 9/14/12... just a little something that came to me.

Perseverence
Daan Jan 2015
The instruments, ruined, in the back,
away from all potential visitors,
even though they're the best you
ever held. Their authenticity is gone.

Your voice seems small,
even though your mouth is tall.
You say too much but mean
too little, stay back.

Stay away, you are too close,
I can't move now, I know she knows
I'm a sad waste of time, and I
don't deserve her. She'll hurt you
without noticing, she's too good for
intended pain.
My cactus died, I gave it too much water.
Doubting *****.

Defiance
Stevie Ray Mar 2018
One of the most beautifull words
and feelings that runs rampant
throughout my thoughts and work
has to be
defiance.

Defiance
to resist the state of something,
anything. To defy the odds
stacked against you.
A state of survival.
A fight of perseverence
A fight, where in it's essence
you refuse to compromise
a part of yourself.
Defiance is
build upon
a message of
the love you have for yourself.
Think about it.
Would you defy if you would not care?
Would you defy your anxiety, fears
and go through your struggles, if you do not care?
You defy the inner conflict
that you feel that stems forth
from your own hopelessness.

Defiance gives you strength
and perseverence.
Defiance does not bow
for it's loyalty towards you
is unshakable.

Defiance will break you
when you stray from your path.
Defiance will break everything
once you embrace the taste
of it's wrath.

please, just dont

Within some of us are the story's
Of anxiety, depression, ocd or eating disorders
Judging voices, let me tell you, we do not need your pressure, or the question of 'can't you just make yourself better?'
Or the phrase it's a phase, we don't seek your attention, we are fighting our battles and do not need condescension
There are days, the act of trying creates an inexplicable ache
And our strenth and perseverence seems to crumble and break
We are mental warriors, not perfect, but fighting for the right to feel okay
So though you are trying, keep your comments at bay

My hope
And my perseverance
Have always brought me
Everything I wanted
Made every dream come true
But when it comes to loving you
They lead me, alone
Down a dusty
Dead end road
Called heartbreak
Again and again
On a loop
Like a carnival ride
In Carsen City
Please let me
Off the ride
Turn from the road
Let go of hope
Because we do not persevere
Together
We are only apart
Me with my love for you
And you with no memory of me
In your heart

Longing
Praggya Joshi Sep 2018
If I could
I would have
Undoubtedly
Decapitated this
Irredeemable longing
In a gruesome manner
Long ago
But I've never been
The strong or potent one
Ever
And In the sunless hollows
Of my broken and
Flimsy bones
I still slip
Slivers of strangled hopes
which although
Have breathed their last
Seasons ago
Yet their charred remains
Sluggishly fuel
My painfully exhausted
And perplexed self
To keep on weaving listlessly
Porcelain skinned dreams
With trembling hands
And don a glowing countenance
When their shattered and
razor sharp edges
Inflict countless wounds
On every inch
Of my scarred flesh
And bleeds out
The residual drops
Of perseverence
From my essence
Leaving me to start
From scratch
Once again

Obsession
Kamblamian Aug 2018
The perseverence and I don't even know his middle name.

I've grown fond and I seem to grow fonder daily but I'm not sure what's to come

If I hold on tightly but ever so slightly unravel I know I'd be fine for the strands making up my bind, would only show the true colors that make up me.

What's to come I'll surely not know but what I do know is I hope it's with you
