Tears crumple to the ground
But so do the raindrops

And as you can't tell the difference
In which one is which

One soul gone
In a storm of millions
Would not ever seem amiss

Paper, Pencils, and Pens
tools of my murders,
A nice ball point is my preference,
Bloodbaths in notebooks,
Body outlines in black ink,
Homicidal verses roll off the tongue,
Cuff my wrists,
I can't bare to witness anymore,
all the tombstones at the end of these sentences,
Grave digging across the pages,
Nobody said poetry was pretty.

I am never gonna change my mind,
Try to torch me and you'll find,
You can't turn me or deter me,
No matter how you try:
*You can't burn me.

Before the dawn is the dark
But that's when the streetlights glow
They flicker in the night
Calling for you

And every whispered dream hangs
Over the sleepless nights
Tossing and turning
Waiting for you

So go on, my love
Freedom was never free
Pick up the pieces, dear
Love was never guaranteed

Caring

Conceited, arrogant, rude, ignorant, narcissistic, gall.
In order to care for another,
you must first want what they want,
Feel what they feel,
and know what they need.

True caring,
can only be found when two souls
become intertwined,
tied in an inseparable knot.

Once you can feel what someone else feels,
when you can see what they see,
how they see it,
when they see it.

When you are able to know a person
so well that you know what they want,
when they want it,
and how they want it.

How they will react to something,
disgust,
love,
hate.

When you know what a person wants
and you do everything in your power to
aid them,
help them,
guide them to their goal.

Then you know what true caring is.

So don't tell me you care,
because you bought me some shoes.
Don't tell me you care,
because you took me home,
when that's the last place I wanted to be.
Don't tell me you care,
because when I cried out for help,
Spilled my guts in hopes you could find a way to save me,
you told me to clean up the mess and get over it.

You don't care.
Not about me.
Not about anyone.
Anyone but yourself.

My world is sinking slowly
sticky
peanut butter steps
seeping so low down
merely inches before I drown.
My world is busy blurry
breakdown worthy instances ignored.
Never stopping
always hopping from one preoccupation to another.
Because slow
is sadness
and fast
is numbness
and everything in between does not exist in my world.

Remember when I told you
I'd be your friend no matter what?
That when things go wrong
And if we won't stay strong
I'd surely get mad
But I'd still be you friend
Remember?

Hey do you know how much it hurts?
To love you so deeply
But then the world seems to be against
The idea of you being with me
Or me being with you
Or us
Or no, you

The idea of you having to build your world
Around me
Trying to decode every mystery that I am
As you kiss me on the head
While I'm asleep on your shoulders

It hurts, it hurts
The way you look at me
When tears start to blur
Your almond-shaped eyes
Like a baby
You stare at me
Pleading for care and affection
Understanding
Begging me to stay
In your most silent ways

But

If things shall not go our way,
Would you still be my friend, too?

*sigh
I love you but I'm letting go.
