Neither of us had a slightest clue
How oblivious were we
Of all the magic destined in tomorrows
Sprouting from the spark we ignited
The first time our eyes met each other

Outside that coffee shop.
- looking back at those days

It's a cold, cold world.
Better be careful, little girl.
The earth will swallow you in whole.
Even in the comfort of your home.
Only the strong survive.
So where do people like me reside?
Starving for greatness in my purpose.
Cold night breaks me down to consider if it's worth it.
There's a demon inside to tell me otherwise.
Want to feel special. Want to feel alive.
Is there really a light?
Or have I been tricked by the illusion of life?
The fights in my mind of good and evil.
What to believe is not that simple.
Eyes sewn shut by the devil.
Suddenly my dreams are in trouble.
Is there really a light?
In the deep of night, out of sight.
A late night can drive you crazy. A poem dedicated to when all falls down.
How lovely
the gardener thought, planting
the rose and the daisy
next to each other

So they grew
spring to summer - shared
the sun and the rain

The rose kept distance, aware
of the damage her thorns could bring
The daisy kept distance, hiding
her petals love and love-me-not fortunes

Came the autumn with its breeze
the flowers intertwined roots
to keep warm - with no distance
now they struggled to share
the sun and the rain

So an agreement became
the rose basked in the sun
the daisy drank the rain

Came spring, parched or drowned
neither was able to grow again
I can see you struggling// boy, don't hurt your brain// thinking of what you're gonna say// everything's a game// always trying to calculate// trying to look smart but not too smart// to threaten anything they say.

My bedroom floor is littered
with letters all addressed to you
that you will never read
or even hear of.
Riki.

Shades of maple, shades of elm,
along a winding wishing stream
Of lily pad and cattail smiles
a’ glistening in rippled gleam

So soft the grass upon the hill,
where bluebirds sing their melodies
Harmonically with skies of blue
in perfect midday symphonies

It’s here amidst the air so free
I take this lazy afternoon
To think about the one I love
where precious wildflowers bloom

For this you see it what I dream,
someday the two of us shall share
Watching clouds move cross the sky,
spending time with little care

Seeing butterflies at play
as branches flow in whispered dance
Shadows tickling the ground
alone within a sweet romance

Until that time does come to pass,
desired dreams have all come true
Among this beauty I will rest,
*lost within my thoughts of you
Good night beautiful

The moon
  cast shadows
on my
       heart

Your smile
   hides them
     from my
    view

And though
  this night
we are
  apart

   My evening
glows
    because of
       *you
Good night beautiful
