Forbidden Love

You walked into my life
Changing everything
We were not suppose to happen

Fate brought us together
A forbidden love
We pushed each other away
Not out of desire
Things shifted in our favor
We were not suppose to happen

Innocent hug, bodies touching
Forbidden feelings growing
Can't no longer suppress them
You are my sanctuary
This forbidden love
Can't be denied no longer

The words you say drive me crazy
Crazy to kiss those lips from which they come
Your affection
Your body
Is my addiction
For now I'll stop writing
Only to express my feelings to the universe
For we are not suppose to happen

Peeling Paint

Amanda
These bare walls whose peeling paint once felt the tremors, dips, quivers in your voice.

As my numb eyes and tired eyelids stare at them, they look
awfully lonely.

And this lull of loneliness seeps into these what I thought were  impervious pieces of myself.

Who knew lonely itself
could have such a
presence
in
the
e m p t y spaces of my chest & mind.
So, I took down these postcards that adorned my door for a few years. And boom, I felt terribly x (stupidly) emotional
= Nonsensical writing
Hope you, you and you have an absolutely lovely day!

You were more radiant than the stars
with your elegant shine
you rose every morning
placing a tender kiss
upon my crimson cheek
you were the one
the one who started a fire
wild, uncontrolled and fuelled with emotion
I let it burn
and I shouldn't have
but I trusted you
I trusted you to take me out
but you just watched me burn
you were a setting sun
in the mist of summer
and the saddest
most awful truth
I have come to find
was the fire you started
was just for fun
you were the arson
who set my heart on fire
but instead of taking me out
you doused me in fuels
just watching me burn

I've grown far too old for this body
and dragging these bones feels like a constant battle

I tire of the Venice Beach lifestyle
all the ******* romances,
those hot sandy beaches
and one night stands,
strange sunburnt embraces
and sideways glances,

won't you take me to Paris?
where the skies bleed in colours
with its cobbled streets,
cafés and nicotine tainted prophets
where the dreamers dream deeper
and the kisses are sweeter.

I dreamed of tomorrow
But chased my yesterday
I wear my heart like a dried ink stain
Black and misshapen
I like to pretend it didn't happen
Some things bring it all back
Memories fatally attack
A scent
A stray thought
Frozen on the floor
Trembling in knots
Perhaps I really am that *****
I know not when I became filled with such rot

Diamonds
 Jul 2014 Kay

I remember calling him a diamond when he was upset about the girl who gave up on him too soon
And him smiling as he asked how
I said
"You have to dig to find diamonds, and people get lazy. They give up. I think people do that with you, but they're always gone before they can really see you shine."
Little did he know
He was my diamond
And I wouldn't stop digging until he was mine
Get it because people mine for gold and stuff ha. Oh I rhymed too

She was poised and quiet
Framed in the morning daylight
crashing waves
A fragile heartbeat
A gentle breeze
Behind her sadden eyes
The unfathomable depth of the
ocean
Torn and broken
Cast aside and abandoned
She put herself back together
Time and time again
She gave and she gave
While they only took and took
Not realizing the pain
Yet she still gave
Still loved
Each time picking up her fragile body
harder and harder than the last

Then the day came upon her
When he saw her
Framed body against the setting sun
Hair tangled
Tears staining her pink cheeks
Walked to her
Kneeling beside her
As she gathered her shattered body

He helped to pick her up
Words never spoken
As they weren't needed
Took her hand
Helping her up
Wiped her tears from her cheeks

No longer would she need to reconstruct herself
No longer would she have tears
He was not one to break her
Nor take from her
He help her piece herself together
Protected her forever
Never to be hurt again
She would be loved and free to love
Her spirit is aglow
By the moon and stars at night
By the sun during the day

She is the one for me

Snowflake

You stayed in my life the same amount of time,

that this snowflake stayed in my hand,

until I watched the both of you slowly melt away.

And there was nothing I could do to,
to stop you.

anxiety

anxiety comes as a haywire mind
a situation in your head
worlds away from everyone
words unsaid
scared to be anyone, much less yourself

but most of all
it comes
and it never really leaves.
