She likes an archaeologist
cos he does it in the dirt

and the older she gets
the more he likes to flirt

She likes the way he smells
in a faded work shirt

hard and lean
but not mean
just a little bit assertive

He still let's her roll
her own cigarettes

and handles her gently
like a gold statuette

while they dance
with the shadows
down low

you know.

Bound
 Nov 2014 Natalie Wood
Kyra
With choking back a sob, I knew* [you] were gone
So soon, you
[were]
But we all knew it was [bound] to happen
I was lacking of all what you wanted
And I just didn’t want
[to] move on
from what we had
Or did we even have anything at all
Maybe that's why we
[break] so easily
From every little thing
But with a heart like yours
I wished you stayed around longer
and kept saying that you loved
**[me]
Read it all together, and then the words in the brackets.
From the tips
   of her fingers

To the heel
        of her soul,

One greedy woman.

  She asks:

"Teach me how to
       dance on graves,

        Show me my insides out,
Preach to me of the ungodly.."

" I will not"  I said.
      "Look to another, I am
           unavailable.

           You would have me
                 be Sisyphus while you
                    take the Queen's throne."

Inviting all to ponder
as you wear only a thong,
your ******* slightly hidden in the shadow....

Your hiss is threadbare,
      just audible to those
                 in spitting range.

All is not
    welcoming
      with me,
        I was once blind
           to  your  level  of   fuckery.

No more says the man
that guides the boy within.

I have grown
   on the shoulders
       of what I once was.

To me
   your voice
      is the sound
              of two cats fighting.

What right do I have
     to dance on the dead,
             let alone show you.

Walking alone on the hot road,
Though it feels like my body,
There isn't any longer me,
Under the burning sun,
It was just a figment,
Having left of me.
It has only let me be,
Shade of the poet I am,
I really am unknown for,
She came and life changed,
My lonely existence vanished.
Her thought itself is so powerful that I don't feel any discomfort.

In That Moonlit Night Standing In The Abaft,
Watching The Towed Flaccid Wooden Raft,
I Thought That I Saw An Angel Resting,
Lying Exhausted There In That Craft.

I Call The Girl Out Unbeknownst Of Her Kind Name,
"Hey Young Lady!!" To Which She Didn't Much Respond,
She Looked Up Towards Me Once In Anguish & Collapsed,
I See Desperation In Her Amber Eyes & Resolve To Help Her.

The Crewmen Had Now Been Doing The Paddles After Resting,
I Summon My Captain & Ask, "Do You See That Girl In The Raft?"
The Captain Now Smiles To Say, "Commodore, Better Get Married,"
I Look Just Clueless To Which He Simply Replies, "There Is No Girl."

True He Was As She Had Simply Disappeared,
I Started Thinking Of My Sleep Needs That Day,
I Looked Around Again In A Hope To Find The Girl,
I Had Compromised My Routine As The Commodore.

Then I Immediately Realized It Was My Wild Phantasm,
Now This Was Just A Plain Illusion Of A Tired Sailor's Mind,
No Mermaids Could Have Ever Existed In Reality & Were Fake,
I Turned Towards The Deck To Go Back To My Bunk For Sleeping.

As I Climbed Down The Stairs To Enter My Room Amazed & Dazed,
I Saw Her Standing And Waiting For Me By The Side Of My Bunk,
I Accepted That Delusion Of My Mind & Started To Lie Down,
She Said, "I'm As Real As Your Thoughts, Don't Fear Me."

She & I-Me & Her, Had The Best Time That Night,
In The Morning She Was Gone & Was Just Gone,
Disappeared Into Thin Air While I Was Asleep,
Each Day I So Dearly Long For Her To Return.

In the world there is so much hatred,
And so much of bitterness in world,
Plus at least as much as violence,
Blue shades keep accumulating,
I find no space for happiness,
There's just hatred for love,
People fail to get it at all,
They mass against love,
Find it abnormal and,
Floxinoxinihilipilification.
The title in a simpler word means 'absurdness'
