I see in a midnight blue sky
A dot of silver dancing
Across my vision
And I smile, eyes closed
Making wishes

For a peaceful world
Where no man needs to fear being attacked
For a kind world
Where beggars don't need worry for their next meal
For a safer world
Where children can be free and get to live another day
For an unselfish world
Where people put others over themselves
For an unprejudiced world
Where men are based purely on their character rather than racial or religious status
And above all; For a loving world
Where man sets aside his weapons and truly loves his enemy

Yet as I open my eyes
And gaze intensely
At the ball of gas
Fueling my desire.

My spirit plummets
Down crested to realize
There never was a star
For me to wish upon
Rather a metallic airplane
That rapidly leaves my vision.

And it has taken with it
My childish dreams and hopes
Of a beautiful world I could have shared with you
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars because we could all use a wish right now......
Memories of a place I know
Similarities in this far away view
I close my eyes and pretend its home
I close my eyes and I think of you

Pillows and sheets perfumed with your dreams
Together we fought and shadows we slew
I need your help to fight nightmares it seems
I close my eyes and I think of you

They see a lion, cold and proud
From the start I've seen you true
Kind loneliness you'd not say aloud
I close my eyes and I think of you

Sheets and pillows dampened with tears
Shadows so dark that I cant see through
Lying here in the quiet for what feels like years
I close my eyes and I think of you
On nights like this is when I miss you the most. My best friend, you are the home of my heart and my brightest thought in my darkest moments. Even in the summer, its so cold this far North without you.
And so here we are
Page after page
Hearts on fire
Exposing parts unseen
Beneath harden surfaces
Wounds unclean
Broken still we dream
On and on we pen
And so we breathe again
A vast expanse of gray
no blue, no light.
as above, so inside
no light for miles,
only a gray curtain pulled shut.
sometimes that rain comes
buckets of water dumped out.
sometimes the rain doesn't come,
but it's still there.
In the gray curtain pulled shut.
As above me, so inside me
Good morning young sky,
so pink and opaque as you awaken with the sun,
peeking through the blanket of clouds.

You make me smile as you gift me droplets of rain,
cooling my warm skin baked from the shine.

Your rich earthy smell fills up my holes that spout air,
making me whole again.

You keep my mind awake and my body safe,
knowing that whenever I look up you'll always be there.

Anybody read her poetry yet
she's an artist
a word smith
a true poet

Anybody know her joy yet
she's a lover of words
she's good at crafting and toying with words
she's a timeless poet

Anybody know her yet
nope, I don't know you
but I know your words
full of peace and honesty
charms and divinity
love and heartbreaks
undoubtedly you are a phenomenal magnificent poet
mad love and respect for you
I lost my heart,
have you seen it?
I set it down so often it got easier to leave it.
If you find it,
would you keep it?
It's a hardy little ***** despite the minor leakage.
A bit of thread,
perhaps a needle?
Really I think a little love is all that's needed.
