They’ll paint pictures of you without knowing your true colors.
I’ve dealt with this my whole life but it’s never effected me like it has now.
No matter what, I feel like I will always be misunderstood/misjudged/mislabeled.
Sorry this isn’t even poetry.

is just a fancy word
for being unable to fathom
the circumstances
that must have existed
to make a human
as wise
and beautiful
and kind
and unparalleled in strength

as you
your face is
breathtaking
your soul is
poetry

and i have a feeling
that when i tell my babies
my life story someday

i'll tell it from the perspective of
life before you
and life after the day
i first saw your smile

Empire
There are places
On this body
Clean and untouched
But there are also places
So littered with scars
You’ll never be able to count them
Never distinguish one from another
The rough skin like armor on my wrist
Broken, torn, shredded
I suppose it’s healing though
Maybe eventually I will too

A recluse has no reason
No effect, nor place to go
No place to catch the eye
Nor show
that I am ****
effortless....
in baggie jeans and ragged sweatshirt
Beauty is for the forest
the ocean and the sky
I am an odd and solitary bird of brown
Only
beautiful in nature's eye
Not always lonely but often so.
