Billions of years before humanity
Before Neanderthal fell on the scene
Before the big lush trees and falling greens
Before the protoplasm spasmodic things
The intermittent glowing growing proteins
Before there was darkness and empty space of potential
Before there was dense matter waiting to explode
Expanding mass waiting to flow
Ever outwards were stars would grow
What came before the big bang
Is what I would like to know?

Sometimes my eyes
Are the skies
Of the desert
Dry as the lies
That they told us

Sandy brown
On the ground
Parched particles
Pointy patches
Of cactuses

Insects and mole rats
Little lizards that run fast
And you may ask
Where is the metaphor
Well, everything is a
Metaphor for everything else
I know it should be cacti for the plural but cactuses works better.

The sidewalk crow
Picking at the stone
Like the streets were still his home
Nibbling at this mess
Of concrete flesh
Gasping and rasping
To catch a smog-less breath
Black thing shimmering
In the sweltering city heat
No worms to eat
Because he can’t crack
That grey concrete
Fragile leaf that hangs from
limbs, ready to fall gracefully
to your end, as you float down
covering the cold ground, waiting
to dry up and die as you decay
into the ground, bring life again
as your essences is blown in the wind.

Eman
Intangible like the scent of mist
                                           that was him
Delightful like a thoughtful gift
                                          that was him
Pure as the first tears of a child
                                           that was him
Provoking like revenge fantasies
                                           that was him
Sudden like catastrophies
                                          that was him
Enlightened like the city lights
                                           that was him
Honest like a father's vows
                                          that was him
Vivid like the colored crows
                                          that was him
Distinguished like the sun among all stars
                                         that was him
Detailed like the winter's sky
                                           that was him
The only man that made me cry
                                           that was him
I guess that was him.

Bluebird
I have never been a human in my life.
That is because from the day i was born
i decided to be a bird.
And that is how i became what humans
call a "poet".

I lead with my left,
And follow with the rest
Of my body.

React with the exact flow
Of my subconscious,
And come back later for the editing.

Life is not a boxing match,
But it feels like I’ve been
Fighting this and that.

Fist in hat and swiped it back
No magic tricks
To help me with it.

Just one thing to the next,
And I no longer reflect
What I expect.

I am just a wishing well
Of show and tell,
Pennies in, but only smoke come out again.

Once freed from the prison of the sea
The reptilian flee to see what they can see,
Hopping stones to find new homes.
Soft clicking cartilage bones.
Hot waters burping up bubbling sands,
Sipping the dripping goo,
Primordial ooze,
Protein potential,
For me and you,
From it to us,
A sweet but bitter tempest.
