You

Farsana
You
As I lay down in my cold bed
Weeping over the insecurities of life
on a winter night
You wrapped me in your protective arms
Brushed my hair and wiped off the tears
I could feel the warmth everywhere
Why are you so pleasing?
Only in my dreams.

Farsana
The way your hands cup my face
And you look into me with a gleam
In your eyes I find love
In your eyes I find happiness
In your eyes I find my home
You are what heaven looks like
To me.
Her attractive skin, mostly bare, in any clime looks alabaster,
Her heart, dark, envious green granite, rarely seen anywhere
had a hole drilled to pass right through it's coarse middle,
quite befitting for a 'crown crusted cobra', to snuggle within,
and inhabit, perfectly concealed, day and night, yearlong,
not on the eye shot of the prying world, it would remain
the unknown secret at the core of her enigmatic, existence.

Her eyes, shimmering embers of coal would entice,
any one smitten by desire, who dares to look at her face,
that vision of her from the very first sight remains frozen
though warped by spherical error,  incorrigible!
Her slur sounds music to her fawning admirers.
She was a metaphor, for a perfect baneful construct.
Dear one,
as desired,
meticulously
corrected
the mistakes
you made,
one by one.
In the process
added my own,
do I need to tell?
I take refuge
in the thought
that it was expected
when you chose
me for this job.
All I can say is this:
we complement
each other;
but perfection
is the mirage
we relentlessly
search in this desert.

Beneath the deepest ocean
I found a memory
One of a child
Doodling in his sketchpad
Blue birds
And willows

But those days at home
Are long forgotten
A dream of when all was right
A story about birds in a tree
The tree beneath the sea
Defeated,
Energy depleted.
Down on luck,
Out of pluck.
Bruised and broken,
All words spoken.
Wind knocked out,
One last bout.

Raise head,
Not yet dead.
Stand up straight,
Shake off hate.
Dust off self,
Drink to health.
Look to light,
En garde, fight.
