Lost at sea is when I heard you singing
Among many shattered rocks she laid if as a sleeping fox.
Putting me into her terrible trance with that graceful glance.
So distracted you lead me to my own doom.
Eventually we all get tricked by a siren or two.

When I was a little girl
with a goofy grin and pigtails,
   daydreamed about being Queen.
A Queen that controlled everything,
          Love, life, happiness
The illusion was the Queen
    discovering control isn't a thing.
When I was a little girl I often drifted off into my daydreams.  The physical world around me stopped and my mental world would erupt.  Enjoy!

Into the dark sky,
I can see far,
To the birds that fly,
To the twinkling stars,
To burning Venus,
To freezing mars,
Then I'm back,
In my car,
Flipped and drunk,
And full of scars,
In the ditch,
Off the tar,
Wet cement didn't,
Get me very far,
Dissociated loon,
Gazing at stars.

There are no words
To describe
The person you love
You can give them
libraries of words
Symphonies of sonnets
But nothing can replace
The sincerity of one's chest
