If I'm Dreaming*

If I'm dreaming
Please don't wake me up
The life I'm in is one I love
And im doing what I want

If I'm dreaming
Help me stay asleep
Turn the lights way down low
Throw a cover over me

If I'm dreaming
Don't you bother me
Let me stay where I'm at
I have exactly what I need

If I'm dreaming
See the smile there on my face
I'm loving life in my dream
I don't want to be awake

If I'm dreaming
Please just let me dream*

It is easier to dislike,
to hate,
to hide,
than it is to realize
YOU are the reason
that curve,
crooked tooth,
or scar,
are deemed flaws.

Accept your responsibility
as a creative being.
Adapt your perception
to one of appreciation.

That curve...
is from giving life.
That crooked tooth...
helps you whistle.
That scar...
tells a story.

Love your flaws,
they make you, you.
Release some guffaws,
as perception you redo!

Kagey Sage
Nothing but dread
looming and seeping
I'm getting wet and coughing up mold
I should have stepped out
with friends and drugs
The apothecary's dry
and I'm scared to drink alone
I spin the room
then nap like a toddler
only to wake up in old bones
amid a society that takes itself
proudly too seriously
but hates to wake up to the fact
that we're spinning with mystery
I bring it up
and am called childish and unimportant
So I slug back to bed
with dreams of wish fulfillment
and falling teeth
O the time I waste
39

It did not surprise me—
So I said—or thought—
She will stir her pinions
And the nest forgot,

Traverse broader forests—
Build in gayer boughs,
Breathe in Ear more modern
God’s old fashioned vows—

This was but a Birdling—
What and if it be
One within my *****
Had departed me?

This was but a story—
What and if indeed
There were just such coffin
In the heart instead?

nothing is above what we think
because the perception of reality
is what's thought

nothing is above what we own
because the perception of success
is what's bought

nothing is above what we find
because the perception of fortune
is what's caught

nothing is above what we see
because the perception of distance
is what's short

nothing is above what we want
because the perception of desire
is what's rought

nothing is above what we are
because the perception of selfless
is what's taught

nothing is above my intention
because your perception
of what it is that i do
doesn't make sense to me at all
