get to know yourself more
how much your worth
so that you know
what you deserve

figure out what exactly
you want in life

no hurry
absorb as much as you can
from the process

choose to be happy
for your soul
will be set free
oh honey, you were born to be loved. don't settle for less :)

The spark you said you saw
(Within me)
Is smothered, smudged and smeared
On your sheets
The sheer shadows are shaded
And I bleed
Bitter black, bleak
Ink

The spark you saw has swam
In their sea
Of sweet, swollen, stolen
Beauty
(Their art is all I hope mine to be)
Brave, Beautiful, Brilliant

Ink

If my spark could be
A raging flame
If my flame could be
Beautiful pain
You’d read my dread
And understand
The sparks (Infernos)
in my head

Sprouting from my hands
When I wrote this poem, I was feeling very inadequate. No matter what talent you have, there seems to always be someone who is better than you at it. Despite the suggestion of writing in the poem, I wrote this with drawing in mind. I always inevitably fall into jealousy whenever I see an artpiece that I prefer over mine. Why can't I draw like that? HOW did they do this? Will I ever draw like this?
Then the wise one within me speaks a little louder:
"Maybe. Maybe not. Who cares? Why do I want to have someone else's style anyway? Why should I envy anyone? Why bitter jealousy, and not admiration? Why inadequacy, and not inspiration? And I KNOW that those same persons have felt inadequate before."

Shall we dance
Take another chance

Shall we try again
With hopes it won't end

Let us dance
And dance real slow

Learn all our steps

So truly
We'll know

As fall now spins its color wheel,
a’ changing of the leaves to share
Simple are these pleasures shown
now won’t you come and meet me there

To feel the breeze upon your skin
in wafting scents of mountain pine
So I may hold you close to me,
and know you’ll be forever mine

Perhaps we’ll share a tender kiss
while walking slowly in the sun
Admiring the season’s view
as nothing more could be such fun

Then spend the day in shaded bliss
beneath a pastel maple tree
Here in the park as autumn paints
a masterpiece for you and me
I met the daughter of the wind
In lands where ice and snow begin
In crystal caves, there deep within
When even time's forgotten when

When time had long forgotten when
In crystal caves, a shadow's den
The daughter of the howling wind
Escape with me, this world of men

Escape this world of fallen men
Oh daughter of the piercing wind
From whence you came, return again
My lady of the fairy kin

My lady with the fairest skin
Once more return and dwell therein
Where light and darkness oft contend
In the ancient, hallowed glen

In the mystic, silent glen
Where rites of shade and light are penned
From whence the children-stars ascend
Rest, oh daughter of the wind

Sleep, my love, and dreaming, wend
Your path among the stars. Attend
The fairy feast with merry friend
As time forgets, and love amends
Dedicated to Aurora, Poppy, and anyone who has lost a child.
Inhumane was said
Six million dead
Gassed,slaughtered
Degraded

Inhumane we dare
At Jeffrey Dahmer
Kidnapper, killer
Evil embalmer

Inhumane it read
Black man dead
Dragged by his feet
Decapitated

Inhumane we say
A young man who's gay
Found bound,beaten
Left dead in the hay

Inhumane we cry
As so many die
In crumbled buildings
From terror in the sky

Inhumane
I hear say
But only humans
Act this way
One is anarchy
Two is conspiracy
Three is a crowd
(But also democracy).
Running out of time
Come on tell me a rhyme
See I recently lost my mind
I was wondering around in a wonderland
So tell me if it becomes your find
I really need it so I can listen to my favorite band
I don't get what I've said
I should really go to bed
