I wish that I
was filled with stars
intricate, intimate arrays
to guide me to the edge
of myself and beyond

my soul
the brightest
in a unique constellation
of my naming

my love
many-hued nebula
expanding
to fill the void

my losses
supernovas
both beautiful
and tragic

But I am not
celestial
earth-bound
I must navigate

by stroke of skin
whiff of memory
trace of sadness
night vision

rudimentary compasses
in a sea of misunderstanding.

REAL
A second
A minute
An hour
A day
A month
A year....
Your life can be different
Can change in a matter of minutes
Or in a matter of years
I drive my life slowly
Unknowingly
Where I'll end
Cause at any moment
I may not be here
You told you me you didn't know
how you got this ******* up.
I laughed and said
"It's okay,  I'm a little *******
up as well."

We talked underneath
the twinkling stars.
As you played the radio,
you reached for my hand.
"May I?"

So we danced and danced,
all throughout the night.
Not caring about the time,
not caring about the bugs
that might bite.

You drew me closer,
and you kissed me!
Suddenly, I felt like
I was being thrown out of this planet.

With the taste of your lips—
only have I ever felt,
the entire universe inside me.

My Mother always said that
We should never make promises we can’t keep
So maybe that’s why
I was shocked when you stopped loving me
And when you stopped smiling when you saw my key twist in the lock
And when you stopped waking up on Saturday mornings
Twenty minutes early
To make the pancakes that I love.
When gone were the days when your eyes
Took my breath away
In the most pleasant way
And now it just feels like
You’re cutting off the air in my windpipe.
So maybe that’s why
I sit awake on a Wednesday morning with your picture
Crumpled in my hands
It’s four in the morning
And tiredness hasn’t hit me yet
But when it does,
My god it punches.
I'd trade
every/good/thing
I've.ever.known.
to share an....afternoon....

Because all/those/moments... I know
were just frag//ments of the
tangerine-I-could-hear
...with
you,...
She chocked out between tears
"But, I love you"
He replied contently
"I love you, but"
He said he loved me...
If you find peace, give me a map.
Cuz I'm looking, can't find my way back. If you reach love, remember me still. I'll let you go if you're more loved there- I promise, I will.

Just don't forget me. I could never forget you. Don't feel badly, I know you thought it's what you had to do. You weren't selfish, just self-preserving. I'd no idea you were unhappy, only now am I learning.

You taught him to love again, and you taught me to trust again. I more than loved you, you were my best friend. Now you're teaching us what it is, to lose again. Thanks for the lesson, I think I've learned by now. Nothing is constant, the ground beneath me's shuffling. And I try to mend my heart but it's crumbling. Without you, I can't reach you.
This I wrote after my stepmom (who is my true mother) told me her and my father were getting a divorce.
There is no canyon wider than that carved
by the ocean; there is no river longer than
that fed by melting snow-capped mountains;
there is no waterfall that falls furthest than
that which bridges the marriage of peaks
and valleys; there is no life beyond death
than that remembered forever by giving
it to save another; and there is no hole
deeper in the soul than that which cannot
be filled by the blood of a heart that digs
endlessly with the broken hands of a father
when he is apart from his daughter
