I have heard
The waves of the ocean
The songbird perched in height
I have heard
The giggle of a small child
The whistle of a train at night
I have heard
The melodies of grand symphonies
The rumble of thunder
And fireworks, too
But I considered myself deaf
Until I heard, "I love you."

Gidgette
She saw the blood this morning,
as she was making the bed
She sat down in the rocking chair,
and sadly, dropped her head
Remembering what he did last night,
the awful things he said
Shame came creeping over her,
turning her bruised face bright red
All the years they'd been together,
seven, since they'd wed
She had hoped for love and kindness,
but got misery instead
She heard his boot heels on the walk,
her heart sank, filled with dread
The monster hit her too hard that time,
now
she sleeps with Angels, in heavens bed
Dear Mr frosty your skin is sinking and your cold shoulders gather no feelings

"I think my skin is sinking into my bones" is what i said when i saw that iceman
Coming out of the ocean to freeze me in his arms
He would use his charm to get me there and when i was in place
he would stop my heart
So I could be a doll
Stuck and frozen
But I'm not your dolly Mr icy
An excuse me while I cry
I don't want you to see
You'd freez my plastic dolly tears and put them in your eyes
So that you might just know what it was like to cry
But you can't Mr iceman
You've got no feeling
That's why you're frozen friend
Wandering the world loney until you meet your end
So cold but you can't feel a thing
I wish i could say I have a good ending for this peom but i don't. Ice melted and i drowned in the sea
"Mum I've got a tummy ache
I think i'm not too well"
"Yes .. you do look a little peeky,
Oh dear.. what is that smell?"

"Did you eat something you should't?
did you eat something you should?
did you eat something really bad?
or eat something much too good?"

"Well I only had some prunes you see"
"How many?" .. *"twenty four..."

"good heavens take the toilet roll
and make sure you shut the door."

"Battle stations everyone,
someone hold the dog,
we might have to evacuate,
someone write the captains log!!"

"Stardate.. sometime this afternoon
someone ate too many prunes
seal them in the bathroom
and lock up all the rooms!"

It's going to be touch and go,
just stand in the door frame,
I've just bleached the ****** bathroom,
it'll never be clean again...

Gidgette
Wishes whispered
Tears wept
Words unspoken
Secrets kept
Eyes converge
Bodies meld
Tender kisses
Hands held
it's 12 degrees and sunny
and all the rainbows are asleep
in their slumber all is quiet
and in my heart their love I keep

it's 12 degrees and sunny
though the clouds may threaten rain
still the garden grows quite glorious
they love me not and back again

it's 12 degrees and sunny
with eyes of winter blue
the seasons often changing
as they are inclined to do

it's twelve degrees and sunny
smiling eyes of earthy brown
give pleasure to the gardener
from sun up to sun down

it's twelve degrees and sunny
they make everyday like spring
their love will put the stars to shame
with the rainbow skies they bring
For my children

A poets heart,
Is a very deep well
It holds many secrets,
Some we never tell

We speak in rhymes,
Or metaphors
We write of hope for the future,
Or sadness gone before

We are guilty,
Of feeling things too deep
And pondering secrets,
Life its self has to keep

Poets see things clearly,
That others cannot
We wonder about questions,
Which time, has forgot

A poets heart,
Beats at a different pace
A poets pen,
Defies time and space

We poets,
Create our own written place
We poets,
Are together, our own race

As poets,
We stand apart
And live in the deep well,
Of our poetic hearts
