i loved you so much that it was hard to see
how we were not meant to be.
i looked up to you alot that i didn't realize
you left me to rot whenever i fall.
i wanted you so bad it was so easy to see
you and i were not meant to be.

y.m
love
your eyes are dazzling,
i think its the sun
shining brighter than a diamond ring
but the sun hasn't shun.
i could think of better ways
to dream of your anatomy,
to wish strands of your hair were found in my bed for days,
and to brush the eyelashes off the cheeks of my darling thee.
with the static vision you see when your eyes are closed,
and the nanosecond blindness when you open them,
how when you gave me that smile and my heart rose,
i swear your eyes were shining like an emerald gem.
but its the abstract sense of hope you give me,
the abstract hope that is love.
who could have done this? only but he,
the fantastic illusion greets you with what feels like a shove.
though we treat love as the air we breathe,
thinking it will always be here
and love will never leave.
What if the Moon was a Triangle
The Sun was a Heart
The Stars were Circles
The Earth was an Oval
And We were all Rectangles
Unable to figure out
How to hold Each Other
Without becoming Squares
She's dark, yet
moonlight glows
inside her soft-eyes
& despite her
tragic-aura,
I still want
her blackness,
to taste her magic,
to kiss
the devil inside her.
Just breathe
If you can't do anything else
Just breathe
Even if I have to do it for you
Just breathe
I was thinking multiple things when I wrote this
it's almost like
rocks

rocks that keep
piling

piling inside of
me
What not to want

ah, Rose, in deep breath
a thousand times
one secret door unlocked in my heart
a thousand times in deep breath
in each inhale heaven's aroma
you stoked my want of wants
the need of all my needs

to know **what not to want

four words and one line
to remind me what's not mine
mine never could be
learned after fake encounters
deep cuts and lasting scars
diminished for what's not mine
never could be
yet passed through fire
scathed burnt metamorphosed
till learned the truth
in just four words
one line
what not to want
that once known
a knowledge worthwhile
makes easier
the remaining miles.
I owe the title and the inspiration for this write to Kelly Rose, the spark coming from her response to my comment on her poem A Love That Never Was.

Thank you Rose for this gift of realization.
The things that
She asked for
She never got

But the things that
God gave her
Was all she ever needed
