isolating yourself
wont make you
any

less

lonely
if you yearn for company, why do you push everyone away?
My life is an escape plan
I run through this
Bored with the walls and the rules
Tired being scared of punishment
Starved with freedom
I won't look back, won't come back
what is reality worth
when fiction is more important
how can you wake up a mind
that chooses to be dormant

we choose to stay dry
when outside, it is storming
in the meantime, in the sky
more storm clouds are forming
Broke,
busted,
tapped out,
destitute.

Once again
I have
no money.

Once more,
I don't care.

Too bad
my stomach
and creditors
do.

Oh well,
let them wait.

Money,
like women
or luck,
shows up
in its own
good time.

Patience,
my thin
little wallet.

You will
be fed again
directly.

Meantime,
chew on
a bit of faith.

They always say never make homes in people.

But I’m afraid you are all I live in now

And I’m sorry but I’m moving in for good,

Because I’ve scribbled my thoughts across your walls

And you let me stay all the same.

And even when I was short of rent,

Even when I thought I wasn’t enough,
You kept me.

And you are the only bed that hasn’t been a nightmare

And I’ve curled up in your sanctuary.
You’ve tucked me in tight

And now it’s time to sleep,

And sleep.

Within the castle I’ve built from your arms.

The cradle of my life.

The place to go when my storms arise.
Where I can hide,

Behind your defences.

Even if you think you aren’t tough enough.

Even if you think your foundations might crack,
like the thunder over head.

No matter what,

I’ll build you back up again,

To keep me warm and dry,

I’ll hold you up.

And I can be your home too.

If you need it.

I’ll give you a bed for the night.

For life.

Even though I might not withstand the weather,

Because I’m too soft.

Too small.

But I’ll dry you off when it all dies down
And you can feel my warm caresses

As though the sun is shining through the window.

So stay as long as you need.

Go when you please.

I think the doors I built,

for you,

now stand open forever.

But God I never want to walk out yours,
For fear they could swing shut for good.
Because I could never find a place like you again.

A place so heavenly.

A place so divine.

A place to call my home.

A place to call mine.
- you shouldn’t make homes in people, but i made one in you
Girls just want to have fun
And I'm the hopeless romantic
I wanna dance with somebody who loves me
Sure, she's a
Maneater
And she's still
Holding out for a hero
I don't care
Sweet dreams are made of this
I won't hold back now
I'm so excited
I release the epic
Eye of the tiger
I'll make you scream and
Jump for my love
This truly is
The final countdown
I'll make sure you
Give it up
Just promise me that you'll
Wake me up before you go-go.
Because baby,
Our 80's playlists will have such beautiful children.

It's not you
    I promise
What I say is true
      He never deserved
           You

     It's not your fault
           I know for a fact
      Trust me
             You are better
          Than a boy like that

It's for the best
       Please,
    Believe me
He'll do it to the next girl
       And the next
            And next
      You'll find your one
          In this world

        It's time to breathe
             Have faith in what
          I'm saying to you
      This might just be
                Poetry
But I was cheated on too

It's time to believe
      You're worth more than
   You can see
           No more tears, please
      He's not worth your pain
             You're gorgeous
       And you're NOT to blame

     It's for the best,
              It's not you
          Please,
    Just Breathe.
          Believe me,
  Cause I've made it through.
         I know,
      What I say is true.
             Cause
         **I was cheated on too.
I'm here for you.
