What an easy waste of time it was to pine over you.
You were no tree.
Your body never had roots,
at least not here.
Your seeds had been blown away and now you're planted somewhere else.
Your body is gone,
and every once in a while,
I see your leaves floating here with the passing winds.

And I swear that I can hear your voice.

And maybe you weren't a tree,
maybe you were the wind.

You weren't meant to stay here anyways.

And in shadows that pace outside my window,
I"ll illuminate a highlighted map;
brightened with all the roads that separate your lips from mine.
And your hands I can't stop dreaming of.
This world's too **** big, and I don't know if I'll ever see you again.
I don't know if kissing you before you left would've made me feel better or would've broken my petty heart even further.
But not knowing what your lips against mine feels like just might be hurting me the most.

Romance the divinities,
be a god on your own.
Walk the streets with radiance and fall in love with life itself.
You have nothing to live for but you,
so be as gold as you can shimmer and stay as warm as the summer.
You're a cosmic galaxy, darling.
Shine.
