Love, I'm lost in typhoons scattered
to the fiercely rising wind,
where currents flow together
throwing my heart into a spin.
Now my mind is getting dizzy
from loops of ragged thought
as I follow what I see,
but what I do is not enough.
Go and strip me of my senses.
Scrub this essence to the core.
Deconstruct these walls and fences
with ruthless promises of more.

Love, I'm lost to tidal tempests
with emotions as the sea
crashing huge and reckless,
flooding every part of me.
Now my resolution's blurry.
I don't know what I've got.
My stomach's churning worry
to a frantic endless knot.
Go and ease this journey.
Build an island from my bone
reinforce it with some mercy,
where no one has to be alone.

Love, I'm lost to wildfires burning
up and down the golden coast,
destroying years of learning,
consuming what I love the most.
My lungs are getting heavy
from sighs and acrid smog,
from preciousness gifted already
to ungrateful, petty mobs.
Now I'm getting cold and numb
to the tragedies I see.
I'm stunned deaf and dumb,
and that ain't how it should be.
I'll go and get the shovel first.
Then dig a hole somewhere within.
Deep enough to be immersed
in the fountain 'neath my skin.

Love, I'm lost in my own universe,
and don't know if I'll see you again.

The brevity of your words is a gift for me
You painted my whole world of what I need to see
There's the sun and the moon, as day and night
Your words always shine on me, my forever light
Brevity: the quality of expressing much in few words.

* Brevity is a common word to most people here but since it is the word prompt that came to me, I made a verse from it.
I thought we were
Destined souls
Bounded from birth
That made our distance
As a stronghold.
That love could subsist
Without a hug
Without a kiss
Just two hearts that co-exist.

But I'm wrong.
We are two people
Who just happen to know
Each other.
Born to be confused
About destinies that
Could be true.

See. .
We are just each other's
Obstacles.
Lesson.
Blind fate.
Before finding what's true.
Let our destinies
intertwine our lost fates
For all the things
I try to say,

Why do "goodbyes"
Always slay?

Cause not even once,
Did you insist,
To stay.

I said a word,
With pure,
**Dismay.
To be someone,
who's loyal by heart,
when I say:

". . . it's through"

Is love buried underneath that slew of threats?
Does suspicion translate into tendency and intimacy?
Should I attribute you as a firm protector of me?
Are your fists substitute for a passionate kiss?
The fear of you, I had, should’ve given the answers that I sought,
but blindness took its toll; until I lay dying at your feet.
Young love is all that I wanted it to be,
but that so-called love you had; loved me too deeply.
As you hid me 6 feet below, where amative souls sleep.
Amative- disposed to love

The answers to all of my questions are no; never confuse love with controlling behavior. Domestic violence is never OK!

The world should've stopped spinning
The day you stopped being mine
The sun should go dark
And the stars should no longer shine
The moon should fall
No longer grace the sky
Every stream, lake, and ocean
Should all go dry
The bird's should lose their wings
And the breeze should no longer blow
Roses, should never again bloom
Fireflies should no longer glow
The trees should've died away
Not a living thing should be found
Children should've stopped their laughing
Silence, should be the only sound
Beauty and all that is good
Should've ceased to be
But it seems only I stopped living
The day you took your heart from me

They pull a string, she jerks her head,
They say ‘do this’, ‘ok’ she says.
Bound by the strings that’s where she’ll go,
Never feeling more alone.

But her head is wooden, it cannot feel.
They choose her story, that’s the deal.
So her smile it glistens, her heart is sings,
Whilst bound to eternity by the strings.

They burn and mark her skin so fair,
She curls up tight and says a prayer.
But the time has come to take a stand,
To rise to the challenge, no helping hand.

As the sun falls and the night creeps in,
She prepares to commit the most wickedly sin.
Whilst they cast her away and let arrogance fly,
She had been keeping a watchful eye.

The almighty blades, they shone in the light
She hurled herself forward, they were in plain sight.
The sting of cold metal, it gave her a rush,
As she cut the strings, with a final PUSH.

They pull a string and I’m not there,
They say ‘do this’ and I don’t care.
I see their game, but they can’t see me,
As I watch from behind the curtain with glee.

Tiptoe down the forgotten steps
to where your soul does rest,
and see the land that lies beneath
the eyes that do know best.

The finest of jade silks is
woven deep into our ground,
in a land that bears no boundaries
but - is yet to be found.

For round the corner water laps
and dances between your toes,
a waltz, a tango, a sudden embrace
whatever you say goes.

Conquer this world on a swing up high,
where you take your worthy seat,
back and forth, your senses silly
you fall onto your feet.

Then a delicate song of angels guides
to a grand mahogany door,
where the angel herself awaits for you
centred in the floor.

“Be not afraid,” she softly breathes
“A gifted soul you are,
and when happiness seems a world away
you need not travel far.”

She leads you to a marble sink
pure water trickling clear,
it swirls it sooths, it embraces your skin
it laughs in the face of fear.

But the time has now come, alas you must go,
the universe waits for no one,
you walk up the steps to the chosen land
and see the life you have won.
