Tsunami

Mick
Like a tsunami,
you washed away everything I knew.
you destroyed all of my original, antique walls.
you smashed through my humble home,
and left me sitting,
ankles deep,
on the deserted beach.
watching the waves of your destruction
kiss my sandy memories.
I was furious.
until I realized how beautiful the view was.

I fell in love with you today.
yesterday as well.
your beautiful leaves,
and your snowy trees,
there's no wonder why I fell.
you took a life that I loved
3 years ago in march
and although her body is underground
her love remains in my heart.
she is the snow covered sidewalks
and the freshly mowed lawn
she is the leaves in the wind
it's like she's  not even gone
she is the birds up high
and the sharks in the ocean
she is my sweet lullaby,
she is my happy day potion.
I fell in love with you today
and yesterday as well
just promise me
that you will see
all the reasons why I fell.

Darkness loves me too much
Always has me in a tight hold
It loosens it grip every now and then
But never really lets me go

Because it consumes all color
It's able to create any illusion
Sometimes I believe it's not there
But really, who am I foolin'

Darkness always surrounds me
Always lingers over my shoulder
Simulating fake happiness and warmth
Only making me colder

For now I endure the shadows
Try to put up a good fight
Still stumbling through darkness lost,
A blind man searching for light

kaye
i've tried making poetry
spinning silk from cobwebs
sitting in the corners of my mind
trying to sew them
into sweaters that smell like you
so i could sleep at night

ever since i met you
i've been swallowing ball point pens
so i could spit out poems
everytime you cut me open.

there's ink in my veins
and i can't get them out
i can't quit this now, it's too late,
i've become addicted to your mouth

i painted my cheeks red;
you painted it black and blue
you turned me into art right?
i don't understand
why they kept telling me to leave you.

you tell me you don't love me,
and i keep saying i don't care.
i've felt it in your kisses
there's never been a spark in the air

you ask me why
and i tell you:
you're my favorite kind of pain.
not to be cliche, but i'd like to die
whispering your name.

my friends say i'm a fool,
"if it's an addiction, then quit"
but honesty is the best poetry,
and i'm getting pretty good at it.

TAB
Plane crashes
And crashing waves
You are God of them all.

Broken glass
And broken hearts
You repair it all.

***** cloth
And ***** sinner
You wash them all clean.

What I mean is
You know.
What I'm saying is
I'll go.
I trust You.

Despite the aches and pains
And the bruises along the way.
Rest in peace to those I've lost. It's been quite a week.
