Kiss me,
Under the stars, right when I think you won't
Tell me,
what you think, of me, of you, of us

Just speak,
Fill the silence, ramble, chat and stray
Show me,
who you are, your soul, your mind, your way

I was pouring my heart out and all you could say was "Ok."
i promise you will never be as beautiful

as you are in the eyes of a poet.

did you ever think

that the curve of your lips

would be worth writing about?

oh god,

that crooked smile

has my pen bleeding ink

faster than i can keep up

did you know that

i’d find inspiration from

the scars on your hands?

tell me,

did you know that

i would write about the way

the light fell on your face that night,

the hair dangling in your face,

your eyes looking more beautiful than

the stars above us?

does it bother you to know

that all of our secrets

make their way

onto paper?

or does it comfort you

knowing that

i can’t forget?

what does it do to you?

knowing that i compare your words

to flowers growing in the bottom of my soul,

the weeds entangling around my heart…

does it bother you that

i’ve turned you into a poem

over and over again?

or does it do nothing at all?

please tell me.
she drank from god's fountain
tore the rake and the peasant's plead
as the chariots blew across this storms foundry
new black ashes, soot stained faces

a gall from the mercurian lee
hunts dark places and wild dogs fear him
the forest is his legion but he shakes from this poison
there is no sky and the trees don't hide him

there is no universe unplugged
neither a human too forgone
to wrestle every inch of skin and sleep
to fight towards her against the leaves
Corners aren’t too bad to stand in
When you have nowhere to go
The clock will be your only friend
When you’re sitting there alone

The faces in the pictures
Pose dusty in delight
They bury their eyes into yours
Try to take out all your light

The doors are getting smaller
The walls are closing in
Your fears are getting taller
Your worlds coming to an end

Your fingertips go through
What wasn’t even there
Your future and your new
Things that never go somewhere

Sit still and let it drown you
Your day has nearly come
Time is the woman in the shoe
She’s whipped you and you’re done
