My lungs breathe cold earth
I am Still
Beneath the roots and moist soil
I am dead
for now
At least
To you
Buried by your words
And cold hate
I am chilled
Under the weight of the clay
White and unmoving
And to you
That way I will stay

Ode to My Cat

You curled up on my bed
and watched me work.
You listened to my queries
and helped me discover new possibilities.

When things got tough or boring
you provided comfort and companionship.
And when I pushed you away,
you came right back.
When I needed someone
You were there to comfort me.
You were there to help me

And when you needed protection from monsters
I protected you.
Because you always protected me.
Because I feed you.
Saying goodbye to your best friend is tough. I had my cat for 11 years before his kidneys shut down and it was time for him to go. I'll never replace him and I'll always remember my first cat.
Little boy, listen closely
'Cause no one told me
But you deserve to know
That in this world, you are not beholden
You do not owe them
Your body and your soul

All the youth in the world will not save you from growing older
And all the truth in you is too precious to be stolen.

It's just the way it is
Maybe it's never gonna change
But you've got a mind to show your strength
And you've got a right to speak your mind
And you'll gonna pay for this
They're gonna burn you at the stake
But you've got a fire in your veins
You wasn't made to remain hidden
No, You wasn't made to remain hidden, no
Show some skin, make him want you
'Cause God forbid you
Know your own way home
And ask yourself why it matters
Who it flatters
You're more than flesh and bones
Know your own way home
And ask yourself why it matters
Who it flatters

you're 12
and you hand out flyers welcoming people to your body like you were 21
letting people feel the curves that should only mold to one person
at your age, your aloud to be immature
immature and I'm mature are not the same word even though they may seem like it from a quick glance
but maybe you're taking a chance
a chance to feel special, but thats the problem
you were special once those baby eyes blinked
now your trying to find a home in someone that can only make you sink
you tell me "i've only had one dog in my life so i haven't really had a chance to love on my own"
but now your all alone, looking for those feeling that are associated with love
but you just end up ******* and ******* up

but everything is okay.....

just because you slipped on the ice of life
doesn't mean you will never skate again
you have two feet that work
two arms that hug
and the ambition to make it better
so i plead to you, things will be better
just look in the right spots

Depression is a war
A battle against yourself,
Every thought is a bullet,
Every movement is a punch.
Every word is a stab in the heart,
Depression is a thief
It steals everything you once had
Everything left behind is the things
that keep you trapped
Depression is a ******
It killed the boy I use to be
I look in the mirror,
And I see this thing
Depression is a zombie.
You aren't alive but you're alive
But you're unaware of what's happening
You're the walking dead
Depression is a nightmare
You wake up into hell
You're afraid of living.
Everything seems impossible to bear.
Depression is an ocean.
A sea of emotions
You're drowning everyday
However you're never saved
Depression is a bottomless pit.
Never ending pain,
Never ending struggles
There is no light
There is no escape
depression is a war.
A constant battles within
Yourself
I think I might surrender for I had enough
Depression is a war
You either win
Or you die trying
And I'm afraid to say I'm losing..

A painting of the future, a grandiose world of adventure
Awaits us all beyond the call of the mid-morning
Blackbird, filling with the sunlight of ages past,
A dawn of a new era approaches. Her voice heard.

The air, a scent, camp fires of the joyous years of our youth,
Of when we all used to run and laugh, puffy clouds, skies blue,
The sight of such clarity, yet to be mistaken for another
Dream, it will light the path that we used to follow, in truth.

Sky-full of color, drowned out this filth! This city curb with
Alcohol and drugs and needles pouring down into the
Hideous dredges below through a crack, it's disturbing,
Like a tumour, a world of wicked witches, fear, and lack.

Let the scientists try to explain it away, the myriad of colorful
Hues balancing and bouncing off each other in the skies...

Sterling silver the moon, her crescent to become
Full-like a white-gold orb, the backdrop sparkles star dust,
In the light there is a vibrant halo, delicate and full,
Explain it away! The earth is waking up, eventually...**

She will again be whole.
