Wanderer
Crisp leaves blow to and fro
Blustery fall morning edged in winter's kiss
The last day of October
Spirits roam and wolves howl
Gibbous moon hangs low
Scents of wood fires, caramel and face paint
Permeate the chilled air
I've got a treat for you
Tricks too!
Abound through a night of celebration
Altar laid out with orange and black
Build courage for the coming dark
Banish evil intent by candle light
Your picture is central
Your memory always bright
Come visit with me
Speak softly
On this Sawhain night
Happy Sawhain! May the night bless you with good fortune, glimpses into the future and visits from past loved ones :)

pale blue moon
misty eye can see
mossy swamps
a'swimming
a new reality

naked
singing love in
crowded rooms
of red
falling from a
precipice
waking 'fore
you're
dead

eating
what you want to
never getting fat
flying through the air
above an earth
that's flat

nightmare
dreams of
blood
dripping down
the walls
caves lit by
stalagtites
bats winging through
the halls

yellow sky is falling
purple crags crash down
you wake up feeling tense
sweat staining your gown

shroudings of despair
ribbons of delight
dreams will guide
and keep you
through the
watches of the

NIGHT

Hard to miss, you can take me home.
I'd rather be anyone than to be alone.
Marlboro-stained teeth
have my lips controlled.
Don't mistake the chemicals
for our souls.

I move with the waters inside your ribcage.
Because when I drown in you,
it's the perfect place.

Softly, please, taking off our clothes:
I can see the kisses that have left holes.
You've been acid-washed
by love that wasn't stronger.
Take off your armor,
so you can stay here longer.

Your face is as cold
as the place I found you in.
You can let go of the hurt
trapped beneath your skin.

I keep warm in your fire that beats fast.
To be alone with you, it to be, at last.

Hard to miss, I will take you home.
You can be anyone, rather than be alone.
Remove your shoes, but not your heart.
You can stay here, as our world falls apart.

Yours is the touch of an angel
Such virtue within you flows
Like a pure mountain stream
You quench my thirsty soul
You’re my source of kindness
You bring me to my knees
I pray your dreams all come true
And your spirit remains free
Thank you for being so kind!!

Give me a minute
To read the stars
Lamenting in their stories
Their laboured twinkling far and sparse

Give me this moment
To stumble and swoon
My branches reaching for
The faraway moon

Give me a while
To be one with the universe
Hear the colliding planets
As they spill their mournful verse

Give me some time
To plot my rightful place
Within my uncharted galaxy
And collapsing space...

there was a girl in class
who had a perfect punctuality report
but always seemed absent to me

and so i asked,
“when you’re in class,
seated a few seats away from me,
where are you really?”

and her eyes spoke

she was not here on earth

she was on the moon,
drinking up the sight of
stars and suns

she was on a distant planet,
fighting up robots
and fiends trying to destroy earth

she was on the sun,
roasting marshmallows
with all the other pretty alien girls

she was everywhere,
she said

she was everywhere
but here

because here was where
reality took place

and reality was no place
for the wandering kind
I apologize in advance for spilling my boiled blood on the floor of your bedroom
But I am running out of ways to show you the wax and whiskey running through these veins.
I'm sorry for showing up at your doorstep with every watch I could carry
But I needed to show you how the clocks laugh every time you tell me "forever".
I may not be pretty enough for you but I promise
I can shatter every mirror until I look like something Picasso would stutter at.
It seems like I'm down to my very last petal but if you give me a moment
I could gather the fallen ones from my feet and arrange them on your mattress
And pull you down to it by your hips to show you how much I adore you.
Beyond this tenebrous curtain, fear associates
itself substantially, refusing to take separation.
I am inclusive to the elements. Tangible forces
caress without inhibition.
Without respect it inspects. I respond with aversion
but cannot cure a prevention.
Swallowed alive am I! Ineffective inside these bowels,
without the slightest hint of protection.
I stretch my arms, trying to fight an unseen burden.
I rely wholly on touch, 'tis a war far from won.
Motion is stalled as heavy weight pushes down into
this abyss. Poundage is transferred upon other parts
of my decrepit fragility. I am being suffocated by the
enormity of my aggressor. Will is weak but I find strength,
adrenalin is guided from fear and I use it.
Surging forward I lift my assassin. I can feel the blackness
wrapping around my being, invading my face. They bind
around me like tentacles of a octopus squeezing tighter and
tighter. I summon the strength to heave the creature upwards.
The weight now lifted but still these bindings grip my all.
I grapple until I feel a sudden ease and I am free.
Illumination now presents this assailant before my own eyes.
The silkiness of such sheer cotton sheets piled up in the middle
of my bed, now in this light look as harmless as they are in reality.
I hear the groaning and look over to see the rising cloud, resonating from the floor beside my crib.

I flinch with fear as my spouse scowls over at me.

With every set, my anxious heart beats with silver
Each of the beats, counting away the reign of the sun
Before finally taking my shift as guardian of the night sky
In my entirety, pulses of incandescent blood does run

As the sun leaves, I rise and and take my rightful place
I'd find my usual nook on my bed of black
Surrounded by familiar friends scattered all over
A million jewels spilling out of heaven's sack

I'd silently watch the earth, reaching with gentle translucent fingers
Silver searchlights scour the lands, I harvest all in view
But my beams were never meant for others
Do believe that... I've saved them only for you

Amongst the sea of hopefuls, I'd always find yours
Looking up with my reflection branded into those eyes
Let us merge our dreams of mercury and red
Rest in the cradle of my light, as I soothe all your cries

Dear Moongazer, it's been a few nights now
Bound by my predestined orbit, I can't help but turn away
Believe that I am resisting with all that I have in me
Unseen defiance in this futile fight so that longer I'd stay

Several more had passed... I feel the promise of fate encroaching
The crushing weight of universe's anvil bearing down
Tearing a little at a time, leaving me lesser than whole
Now I'm half draped in darkness' gown

As the nights go by, I've long been eaten
I peer from my side as I float a slim silver crescent
The time has arrived, my love, I shall leave you in the company of the stars
They will keep you safe even if they seem indifferent

Fully turned away, I now see only fresh new hearts
They all sing the same but none like you
Still I glow to rekindle their hopes and dreams
But what I long is for this tour to be through

After what seemed like an eternity, I'm coming back round
Looking for your beacon as I shine bright and clear
Let our entities intertwine as the moon and her gazer
I am your lunar love...
                                    and I am here...
