On the river's this side
the boat waits for high tide.

*beckon me the far line trees
'neath looming clouds congealed mysteries
to sail yonder in long winds' way
where dipping sky touches bay!

But I don't have the wind's will
to cut the rope and sail upstream
having swallowed the bitter pill
of deep slumber in buried dream!

I have a Buddy,
True Buddy,
A Buddy all life long,
When days are long
My Buddy,
Makes right
All that's wrong.

I have a Buddy,
Dear Buddy,
A Buddy when I'm glad,
For years I know
My Buddy,
Can always count on Dad.

My little Buddy
Has a Buddy,
To always depend on;
When Buddy
Needs her Buddy,
She'll always hear her song:

     I want you Buddy
     To read to me,
     Walk with me,
     Skate with me,
     To share with me,
     To laugh with me,
     Sometimes
     To cry with me.
     I need you Buddy
     To stand with me,
     Grow with me,
     Be by me.

I have a Buddy,
True Buddy,
A Buddy
All life long.
When days are long
My Buddy,
Makes right
All that's wrong.

You were a flower
That was in a crowd
Of colour
But your blossom
Caught my eye,
You stood out
Beauty,
Confidence,
Smile,
You ask, can a flower smile
It did that day,
I picked you
Took your intoxicating
Fragrance in,
I realized that it was
Love,
Connection,
One,
That were two
Now we grew together.
And we both did blossom
In each others arms,
We grew,
And entwined
Till the fragrance
That came forth was love,
That burst forth and two were now one..

And the seasons changed
And they died
From
Life,
To
Passing,
There death was beautiful
They changed,
From what was
To what was to become,
And the wind took them
A million lives
Floating
Blown from there
Cradle
to
Grave,
Colours of decomposition
Fly through the air
Brittle,
Dry,
Life,
Now gone
The Season had changed

I am treated as small and insignificant
many feet tread on me

I have been around for millions of years,
I have been a mountain, a boulder, a stone,
and finally a grain of sand.

I am small but beautiful.
now, I can catch the light of the sun,
and let the light in.

I must know...

the smell of your blowing hair
   in the leaf-strewn autumn wind

the touch of your hand on my chest
closely held in a sleepy winter bed

the sight of your eyes lit with wonder
for the beauty of spring's first flowers

the sound of your voice calling my name
through a window from a summer garden

...and as the cycle renews...

the taste of your fertility
under the cover of a harvest moon

...there simply aren't enough seasons
to gain a complete sense of all that you are

Hi Dad do you love me?

Now say goodbye as i move far far away.

Hi Dad do you love me?
