There was a young girl from Troy.
Who fancied she could fight like a boy.
She stepped up to the ring and started to sing.
So much joy did she bring as she danced around the ring.
It was the perfect decoy that she used on that boy, that devious young girl from Troy.
Too long for a Limerick but hope it makes you smile

I wish I had one of those
Brand new pretty A.I's
The kind you see
Over seas
With the animated eyes

Perfect body
Sculpted in
Secrets underneath
Rebooted to learn
Oh don't be concerned
I've plenty morals
Left in me

Bio parts programmed
To feel the cyber burn
Develop in such rhythms
Cybernetic squirms

Bandwidths pleasure
Poetic themes
Creative forms
Me and machine
Bio feedback
Drama queen clean

Nothing like the real thing
Just me and my machine
Oh how lonely that would be!!!

Who would think a rose so sweet
Would dry and crumble at the feet
And blooms that scent the night and day
Would steal a heart, then fade away

With petals soft and fondly red
Sweet essence fills an addled head
Then turns to dust before the eyes
Leaving naught, but sad surprise

Who would think such thorny vine
Could lift a blossom as divine
And by the stem on which it stands
Could so wrong an offered hand

Such strength and beauty is rarely true
A blessing owned by very few
As 'neath the soil, in winters keep
There sleeps a rose to tear a cheek

Who would think that perfect bloom
Could be a bane, a curse of doom
So fine a sight, yet in disguise
A rose to ***** and blind the eyes

I am transparent.
My words,
made of glass,
betray me.
Written 6-9-18. Thought this was incomplete, but maybe not.

As always, I am betrayed by words.

Sunshine drips off of my skin
Pools on your sternum
Stars escape my eyes
Form constellations on your shoulder
I am bleeding galaxies
Sharing my veins with you
Blinding light pours from my mouth
You refuse to swallow it
Sit in the dark if you must, my love
I will never stop shining

when we are in love
we are raw red hearts
bleeding
exposed to the flesh
of the night air
in crisp, sharp breaths
ventricles open wide
as its beats paint
the stars crimson,
skylit rubies
baring all
peeled back touch
of cells like
the muck of our guts
spilled out yet
       somehow contained

My insides are
braided, like veins
pumping life into universes
receiving the tender fire
of your jeweled, earthy words
rising to meet each kiss
like an abulation

I am
boiling cherry broth
in this heat-licked ice
that melts upon the tongue
in salted frenzy,
delightful

Wash over me
Hold me in cupped hands,
                       gently
Take me by the tips of
my soul's hips,
                  firmly
for I am at risk
of being pulled into
the sweeping monsoon
of
     your
forever
