No time to dwell
(on what's been undone)
or that
which has become undone

We'll hold onto
each of our moments
when love's song was sung

(When) we stepped on time's ladder
climbed each rung
Each one told a story
of births and deaths
failures and success

The higher we ascended
The shakier the ladder
Encouraging each other
when our legs start to tremble,
when our balance is threatened,
My hand in yours
then
your hand in mine
Should you fall behind
I wait for you
When I falter
You wait for me

When we stumble
We hold on to each other
With a word
A look
A warm embrace

Time's ladder
over time
deteriorates
with aging and pain

I know we'll hold on to the end
though no promises can be made
I'm not perfect
Neither are you

But

I know I won't be climbing to these heights again
or stepping up on to
another time's ladder.
A nod to the Boss, "If I Should Fall Behind  "

on this day of winged hearts
and chocolates
one tends to write about their
"better half," their lovers or husbands

This is not one of those.
I have no better half
I am an entity whole.
Woman proud and complete
deep down strata of soul
this union
is held
by the thread of our children
tender shoots growing
in our shared care
and even that thread is frayed

I write this valentine's poem
for the love of myself
for the knowledge that
when I love myself first
and the universe will give
and I will snip
that thread
so begging to be snipped
and fly off into the winds,
my three moonbeams
in tow
always at my side
They will never
cease their growing
under my watchful eye

I will be loved
like I am supposed to be
whether by another
or only me
for I now know what I need
Slowly
layers unpeel
and each day
I am more ready
So take your little
fluttery paper hearts
that you never
gave me anyway
and paste them all
over your own
for soon you will find
you might
need them
Just had to be said

the Geese across the way have much to say these days
roosting down the shore, The Goose a Celtic sign of the Holy Ghost.
Monotone voices on the radio speak of intercontinental ballistic missiles
a modern sign of Armageddon just around the corner of tomorrow.
I wonder just what it is the Geese are saying, and they say it all together,
then stop mid sentence as one.
The many experts on modern day ills speak in low voices, highlighting the graveness of their messages, in between Hollywood gossip keeps us all interested and listening.
the Geese mate for life, and stay in family groups, and they have no need of missiles, its a shame we do not take a leaf or two out of their book.

Here I am

by the sea

Shanghaied

from the mountains

a long ways

from loving

let the record read

I'm ****** if I don't

and ****** if I do

and let the moon

hide in my boot.
And ****** if I know. :)
they come in groups. i have said it before. two came yesterday, pacing by the trees.

none were visible, none were heard, so

we talked about the history, the work and where we came from. the door is bricked

up now.

covered in wool against the cold.  bales taken down river , down to the harbour down

to the cob.

on boats .

they came in packs.                                                                                                  some time ago.

Set your aim well
narrow your eyes to see
where hatreds dwell.

It's everywhere in the land
with guns in our hand
we are fighting a war
brother against brother
a battle without cessation
nation against nation
settle with the bullet
more right is which faith
decide with gunfire
which race is placed higher
for centuries the same story
battles make bulk history.

Races raged cities burned
but we never learn
to build one world city
one humanity
only aim further well
narrow our eyes to see
where differences dwell.
The feeling I got when I held and aimed the gun.

Protected by a suit of dreams
And armed with a smile
He came out of nowhere
And went his own way

Seemingly believing nothing
And walking in no-one else's footsteps
He follows no rules without reasons
But he knows right from wrong
And he knows that's what matters

In a world of easy hypocrisy
Where compassion is stifled by fear
And belief is a reason to hate
To hate and destroy other beliefs
He goes his own way

We've lived to expressed those wonders
we thought and felt,
in the depths of our emotional journey,
our words sours
in highs and lows.
-
a fine balance
at crucial times
equally stable
in fate and its tales.
-
essence of time
solidify our strength
through choices predicts our
future yet more often
never to the exact extent.
-
our old sheets may fade
and our ink might run dry
we should never
lose ourselves
even the smallest
drop of hope
creates big ripples.

its a truth ' they broke the mould when you were born'
so do not frustrate yourself with trying to fit in to some notion of what it means to live to the full. You are already unique and consequently only a unique way of life will content you.

letting go the frustration
I found freedom
and dared to be
and dared to be me.
In the market I'm a popular man.

So very nice they say
he doesn't even ask the price.

I'm the sellers' good mate
they decide the weight
or rather the mass,

So very kind they say
he's the buyer top class.

I'm the sellers' idol
the quote they call
I pay

So very good they say
he's our man every day.

They decide the rate
decide the weight
even the item

while my mind thinks of a poem.

I breathe the lonely air you brought me
I journey life's challenges alone
I did everything I could to believe
That you would come back
But I know, I will always be alone
For the fact that you've lived in my darkest shadow
How can I ever tell myself that it's already impossible?
You have done enough, you've suffered enough, endured hard enough
You have done everything possible; I've done everything ever possible
Still it was not even possible
\                Why?                 /
Why is our life this way?
The pain does not hurt anymore, it's is just a memory now
But why do I have to remember it day by day?
You're a part of me that is hard to erase
A shadow that follows me everyday
My light died with you
a sad piece base on a man who had lost his wife to cancer.
written May 29, 2012

this was one of those old work of mine that inspired how my mom died of breast cancer, and how sad my father at that time... now, both of them are gone, and hopefully peacefully have meet each other in the otherside...
