imagine there's
a place of rest
a place of total peace
where you will never
gain a pound
no matter how you feast!

a place with no more war
a place with no more fears
a place of such perfection
it may just produce tears
a place you'll never tire of
though there 10,000 YEARS

[chorus]
where you can fly
with wings as eagles
like crystal, feathers gleam
where light pulses forever
better than a dream!

where there's a color
spectrum
limitlessly broad
where the music
can be SEEN!
do you find that odd?

imagine
liquid flowers!
trees swim in the air!
there is no more poverty
there is no despair

imagine an
ETERNITY
I wonder if you can
where we can work
TOGETHER
every woman
every man!

[chorus]

BRIDGE:
how can we imagine?
how we will applaud!
the things He made
just for us...

our kind and loving

What no eye has seen,
What no ear has heard
And what no human mind
Has conceived
The things God has prepared
For those that love Him.

This world is not my home,
    I'm justa 'passin through;
I'll live with God one day,
and pray that so will you.

He's got a place for me,
    a mansion in the sky;
A home that's all my own,
   the very day I die.

Such beauty I will see,
   streets made of purest gold;
Behind those gates of pearl,
my loved one's there to hold.

No more we'll feel life's pain,
   nor shed but one more tear;
This time on earth won't count,
one day or one more year.

He's paid the price for us,
   forgiven by His blood;
So live for Him today,
   surrounded by His Love.

When at last I shed my burdens and the new day's light shines upon me. I will rise to meet the new tomorrow and what ever might be waiting upon me. Through the long night I have been wearied, but now the day has come. I will bathe in the bright pure light as I at long last see the son. So I bid welcome to the everlasting morning and walk through the gates of Pearl. I will be greeted by my lord, as he welcomes his child home. No more will I cry for as my tears have turned to joy.

...and when this poor body
lets go of its soul
no longer trapped
by this cruel world
where it is bound
heaven only knows
but I do know that I am ready

...and when I have done
all that I came to do
when I am old and now
no longer new
and the parts that I have
are worn out and used
I'll know then that I am ready

...and when the sweet breeze
whispers my name
then will my loss
be more my gain
I hope and I pray
that soon comes the day
because I know that I am ready

...and all the loved ones
that I leave behind
will then wipe with joy
the tears from their eyes
thinking of me
reminiscing on life
knowing full well that I was ready

the radio drones a drama
I hardly listen
its white noise disguised
as something more important.

the mind soaks up everything
wrings out the sponge
and starts again
unlimited capacity through the senses.

there are things I feel I should do
get around to doing over thinking
but thinking is limitless
eternity much more attractive.

William Cowper
To Jesus, the crown of my hope,
My soul is in haste to be gone;
O bear me, ye cherubim, up,
And waft me away to His throne!

My Saviour, whom absent I love,
Whom, not having seen I adore;
Whose name is exalted above
All glory, dominion, and power;

Dissolve thou these bonds that detain
My soul from her portion in thee.
Ah! strike off this adamant chain,
And make me eternally free.

When that happy era begins,
When arrayed in Thy glories I shine,
Nor grieve any more, by my sins,
The ***** on which I recline.

Oh then shall the veil be removed,
And round me Thy brightness be pour'd,
I shall meet Him whom absent I loved,
Shall see Him whom unseen I adored.

And then, never more shall the fears,
The trials, temptation, and woes,
Which darken this valley of tears,
Intrude on my blissful repose.

Or, if yet remember'd above,
Remembrance no sadness shall raise,
They will be but new signs of Thy love,
New themes for my wonder and praise.

Thus the strokes which from sin and from pain
Shall set me eternally free,
Will but strengthen and rivet the chain
Which binds me, my Saviour, to Thee.

We're all born screaming
While screams echo back
And one day we learn
To hold our screams in check

But the world keeps on screaming
Its groans ignore our reluctance
Tearing through our dreams
Persistently confronting us

The only source of peace for us
Are Jesus' gentle whispers
They serve as a quiet respite
For those who are able to listen

And soon the whispers clarify
The groans from the world around
These aren't cries of anger
But pleas to be unbound

Creation itself cries out
For rescue by its maker
To be allowed to at last fulfil
The purpose it was made for

And so our eyes are opened
To the reason for our screams
We cry with all creation
For a full and final release

And Jesus hears our cries
He's not deaf to our prayers
He'll come again in his glory
With earthshaking fanfares

Our cries will turn to song
Secure in a brand new earth
Creator and creation in harmony
Echoing glad cries of new birth

So a new born baby's screams
Shouldn't come as any surprise
They are simply giving echo
To creation's longing sighs.
See Romans 8:19-23
19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its ******* to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.
23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

to know me is to know tears
to know Him is to know the same
but He promises to wipe them all away,
and to make all things new
with no sorrow added...
real true hope and love
anticipating the kingdom of God
coming
to this earth.

Reaching out mine poetic finger's,
None to reach back.

Roaming in this passage of expiry,
quietus; how solitary tis.

Patting panels of mysteriousness,
Feel like letting go;

Though do I knoweth I shalt get through
With God, for with humanity I'm alone.

I wilt seest the peep of gleam, just
Yonder the gloaming.

At the moment dead yet living,
Though betimes I'll reach
In pure love all that's
Right and knowing.

With one to hold me
In seas of affections
Warmth, I'll be the
Light I'm meant to
Be- I shalt with
Other's share
Mine torch.
