Binds you away
Shivering, you just can't sway
These my friend are
The Chains of Misery

Can't get hold of you
Are you free? Hell nou
Feel for yourself
The Chains of Misery

Reshuffle the pieces inside
Time to showoff the might
Now you break away from
The Chains of Misery

No matter what the circumstances....it's always you against you \v/ Get yourself together, and move on \m/. Follows a a b a rhyme scheme.
As wearily as I feel at times here in this world.
As though the battles at times never cease to stop.
I have something far greater then gold and rubies.
Its the friendship of these beautiful and awesome people.
That life far outweigh any ocean liners that hit the shore.
I am by far so grateful for each and every one of you.
You make my life worth living, you and the Lord Jesus.
I shall come back on soon to be blessed by you all.
I want each and every one of you to know you are special.

cobalt rain
rides the foothills
mountains conspire
in malevolent
cloud lairs

beneath gray waters
she treads
the warming sea
in constant current
scaled desire

burnished crimson
silver sleek
with ripened need
she lives to die
upstream

You say you're having problems
With both family and friends
Let's see if we can boil this down
Now where do we begin

No sense in pussyfooting
If we're to get right to the truth
By my calculations
The common denominator is you

If it's you that is the problem
Then the solution is the same
So let's start working in that noggin
And come up with a plan

Perhaps a whole new attitude
A softening of heart
A loosening of the chains of blame
Would be the place to start

If you feel they're out to get you
Before you draw weapons to defend
Search first for the problem
Because it might come from within
I've found a lot of times in life that if you're having issues with others most likely it's your own selfishness that's really the issue.

the old maid
wore her
widow's weeds
charcoal parchment
met her needs

because her children
are unborn
she holds herself
to other's
scorn

a heady mix
of rhyme and rue
the measure
she is held unto

other's ink
has held her rapt
believes her own pen
should be capped

but
poet
prophetess
or
fool
puddles
are as

profound pools

Sometimes I look at the profoundity of other people's work and feel really inadequate.

I just can't write that way. But I do my best to educate and entertain... express my feelings. I've decided not to look at other people's work and measure myself against it. I don't want to be insecure that way. But this poem reflects how I feel sometimes. :/

I must thank you for the praise
That you just sent my way
For it’s not often you reply
Or have something to say

I write these prose as best I can
Providing WIZDUMBs to the masses
Lifting spirits, and warming hearts
To get them, off their *****

Some are good, and others bad
But, I try my best each day
So don’t bemoan, those that I’ve blown
You’ll put my mind in disarray

It does at times, just wander off
Which seems a bit risqué
And other times, that flash of light
Is just an old cliché

So, do not be, so quick to judge
It is mere prose, for Heaven’s sake
And I am but, a poor old man
Who doesn’t need, a headache

People ask how I am
Almost every day.
And I smile
I say I have been
A pretty good hermit.
They don't see the hundred hurts
That color every current
Interaction.
I have felt disrespected
And I can't
Seem to shake the bitterness.
It hangs on my shoulders
Til I go to bed
Way too early.
It whispers
From under the mattress
That I am the only one
Waiting apology.
The hawk has something to say
About the whole gawdawfull mess
But he talks in riddles
Around me
To the monsters
Hiding under my bed.
