my lover is my song
my reason to sing
my imagination set free

she is the color
the color of blue
the wide open sky
the deep ocean hue
more than the thought
you thought that you knew
apart from it all
that has come true

the melody
that plays in your head
the tunes pitter patter
the rhymes wonderment
the tick of the tock
on which time is spent
the beauty you seek
she's where it went

she is the day
outside of the norm
the heat in the flame
the center of warmth
the hidden passion
that's given in loan
the very last line
to the end of the poem
The title of this poem is from a line in a Fleetwood Mac tune by Stevie Nicks. It popped into my head last night unknowingly and sounded so familiar I Googled it. But I like it so much I kept it...

My love, do you still remember me?
The vow  we made under this mango tree
I was younger then while you were old enough
But in my heart I knew you're my better half
~~
Your face that time, it's painted here inside
After the wedding, we had that romantic ride
We took that road riding on a pretty white horse
You were holding me throughout the journey, of course
~~
But suddenly a storm came while we're on our way
You've loosen your grip, we didn't make our day
A strong wind got me while you were thrown afar
We've been apart, heart-broken like victims of war
~~
My love, do you still remember me?
Two years and more, we're here under this mango tree
Now, I'm tracing the carved hearts with our names entwined
Wishing that like them, you and I have that strongest bind
~~
My love, do you still remember me?
Until now, your memories never set me free...

bell
of strained bones and cracked skin
bleeding lips and hued eyes
i stand here by you
hoping that
even after the hurricanes
you would still love me
and i would still
be loved

let the stars speak you said
and i weep
and thrash
vehemently
and painfully
because you are gone
destroyed
by my broken self
whom you tried
to save
from no other
than

I.
Noo'y akin pangg naaalala,
Nung una kitang makita.
Ako'y humanga na,
Lalo na sa taglay **** ganda.

II.
Nakaka-akit ang iyong bintana ng kaluluwa.
Lalo na’t sa tuwing ngumingiti ka.
Hindi ko mapigilan ang sariling,
Ngumiti rin pabalik sa iyo, sinta.

III.
Araw-araw na tayong magkasama
Sapagkat pareho tayo ng tropa.
Asaran dito, asaran diyan.
Kulitan dito, kulitan diyan.

IV.
Hanggang sa lagi na kitang hinahanap-hanap,
‘Pag wala ka para akong sinakluban ng ulap.
Napapansin na rin nila na kapag wala ka,
Para raw akong lantang-gulay kasama.

V.
Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ganun?
Lito pa rin ako hanggang ngayon.
Gusto na ba talaga kita?
Hindi ko rin alam ang aking nadarama!

Mahal mo ko, Hindi kita mahal
Sinaktan kita, Hinayaan mo ko

Sabi mo wala akong pake sayo, Meron
Hindi kita pinaasa, Minahal kita

Ngunit bilang kaibigan lamang.

I kinda wish I never met you.
You know why?

Because before you:
I didn't know what true happiness was.
I was content with being alone.
I thought love was fake.
I enjoyed life.

But now that you've come into my life and then left:
I cry because I'll never truly be happy again.
I hate being lonely.
I know how incredible love is.
I can't enjoy life because you were all that ever made me happy,
And you left me dead on the street.

Thanks for ruining my life,
This was hard for me to write because I still love you and my life was amazing with you. But I hate life without you and I just want to die.

I realize the title doesn't have much to do with the poem. The hardest part of a poem for me is the title.
