throw me to the wolves;
but at least wolves are loyal to their own pack.
want some  ice.

Slowly clouds filled the sky
Silver lined the air
She turned her face up
And felt the first rain drops
Her tears were washed away
And her sorrow took flight
Leaving her bathed
In a silvery light

All I ever got
out of loving you
was a snog and a
fuckload
of poetry.
I can't seem

       to beat down these feelings

Into words.
Inseparably attached,
Hopelessly apart,
An ocean away,
But we carry one heart.

The emotions I feel,
As I think of you,
A smile and a tear,
I wonder which is true?

I've never touched your hand,
Or said your name aloud,
Yet for not a second doubt,
That I'd find you in  a crowd.

The words of love you give,
And bits of truth you share,
Are the only things that help,
The distance for me to bear.

I try to be so strong,
But I am brought to my knees,
By the miles that separate us,
To create our love's complexities.
Love over any distance, fires such strong emotions.

rantipole
yeah it's 3:59 in the morning,
so what? there's ink in my veins and
a bottle of ***** in my system.
I'm bleeding novels here
and it's a rare blood type I've got.

The words pour from severed wounds
and stain the carpet, bed sheets,
the counter tops and floor tiles.
shrieks from my roommate,
"what the hell's going on?!
someone call an ambulance!"

(darkness)

yeah it's 7:03 in the morning,
so what? I woke up attached to a machine
and it wasn't even the government.
chuckles from the nurses,
"he's got a sense of humor this one"

every last letter fled my body
until I collapsed.
and suddenly, I understood
that death isn't about flowers, tombstones,
black dresses or sullen faces.
it's about the words that were left unsaid.
they asked me
what did YOU do today to make the world a better place?
i looked down at my feet
embarassed
"i woke up"
i said
"i got out of bed"
they looked at me, puzzled
"i didn't let depression win"
a small smile crept across my face
no, my dear, the world the world
what did you do to make  the world  a better place
i took a deep breath
"i told the girl in the bathroom mirror she was beautiful"
"i told the boys to stop bullying the girl in the hallways though i wonder if they heard me"
"i told the empty hallways i'd be okay"
i told depression i'd bury it
i woke up
i got up
i stood up
and i hit "play"
