delicately she balances on the edge
of the crisp sheets of the motel room's bed
wearing her hoodie and jeans fashionably
not speaking except in the nervous fidget of her hands
but its her homespun beauty that is the tale to be told
truth of her breath catching when she thinks she hears him in the distance
truth of her writing his name in the dew of dawn on the windshield
with the promised hearts and rainbows forever dream

its a little past two am
in the motel next to the highway
the door is open
letting in the ever present scent of diesel
and late summer georgia night air
she sits in the pool of light on the motel room bed
looking out into the darkness next to the highway
there are no tears
no words
they have long since rushed out and washed away
now there is only the waiting
for the sound of his truck
his boots on the gravel

she sits in the pool of motel light
ignoring the fading glories of the night
ignoring the fading glories of her youth
he will come for her
and everything will be right
she waits for me
in the warm sunlight
she calls to me
in the beautiful night
she sends love notes in the breeze
filled with her longing
filled with the bright beauty of together forever
she scatters her devotions along the river of my dreams
fills my heart with such comforting joy
fills my world with her beautiful soul
love letters written in the sunshine
adoration written in birdsong
she waits for me
on a springtime's beautiful sandy shore
waiting for my long winter to end
don't worry my love i will be there soon
and we can run brave through the rain hand in hand
and never ever let go
we can be together forevermore
wait just a little longer my love be there soon
and we can watch that sunrise together forever
(twenty one years lover and i still
dream you in sunshines sweet kiss)
From the very moment that you pulled away
My body was turned into a grave
Flowers no longer sprouted in my heart where your words would be
Sunlight could not reach the darkest parts of me
The vines that were once intertwined with my heart
Decided that it was time to break apart
You were the person to bring me life
and you were the one who gave me the knife

I write to set my demons free
To let them out into the sun
Hoping they will vanish from my sight
I write so I can spill love, loss, and hate onto blank paper
Instead of my conscience.
warm and pretty, rose red, beauty flowing through your head
cold and ugly, violet blue, flowing thoughts I have of you.
silk and fragile, pearly white, suit that grasps your body tight,
rough and brittle, deathly black, heart that loves and dies and cracks.
long cascading, godly gold, laces Aphrodite molds,
short and haunting, monstrous green, envy thieves my dignity.
deep and endless, drowning blue, they glance at me, my stare ensues,
shallow empty, ***** brown, suit that hides a soul unfound.
Notes passed,
Check yes,
fingers crossed,
Heart against chest,
Stomach in knots.

The note makes its way down the row,
And I recieve curious looks,
But my eyes are trained on your face,
As you grasp the note carefully,
Curiously opening the white sheet,
And reading my neat writting.

When my eyes open,
You're the last image from my dream,
And when we speak,
My heart skips,
One, two, three beats.
And right befor I go to sleep,
I think of the possibilitys,
Of You and Me.
Check:
Yes  No
Date me?

Your cherry glossed lips spread
Into the softest smile
And your bright, shinning eyes
Find mine.
And I see you blush
Shy.
Beautiful.

You grasp your pencil
Scribble something down
And send it back to me
I can feel my heart
Head to feet
Pounding.

Yes
*My sweet, sweet prince
You've gained my heart
I'll take care of yours.
Love, Your Princess.
Written because my lovely lady suggested a love poem.
