My tongue is
       dripping
             with honey
     and gold,
        my voice is
   even sweeter
        and richer.

*Just imagine my lips.

Rain

She loved the rain.
She loved the way it fell with purpose,
The way it changed from sprinkle to downpour.
The way it caressed her face
When she looked to the clouds
She thought it to be gentle
Beautiful.
So maybe that's why she didn't notice,
When the flood began,
That she was drowning.

It's so beautiful
The flash of light
It's so horrible
The moments of darkness
And then it's over.

And that's all there is to life.

You won't understand it
Until it happens to you.
The day when your stomach drops.
It's the day your eyes become a void.
You want to cry but you can't.
When everything becomes clear.
And it's okay
To hate the world.
To want to die.
To hate all the people you once loved.
It's okay.
You'll get through it.
I promise.
But I can also promise this.
You will never be the same again.
You will never understand until it happens to you.

I like to think
I'm too big
to be broken,
I'm so high
above
all of that
- but you're the one
who brings me
back to Earth
and says
that I'm only
five foot
tall.

What did I tell you about
breaking the rules?
Breaking rules is
breaking walls
- leave them there and
all they do is
stop you.

late lover

there were galaxies in your eyes
i reached out to grab them
but you turned away
when you turned back to face me
all that i could see was
a black hole of lies
where your heart should be
why won't you let me touch your stars
tell me all you know
show me all your scars
where did you go wrong

i guess i was too late
the starry gleam is gone
