It's a nightmare
Being the burnt out
Shooting star
Replaced by the light
Of a full moon

It's a nightmare
Being hidden underneath
Clouds and overcast skies
Replaced by angel eyes
That makes you swoon

It's a nightmare
Being darkened
By nights that glow
Replaced by a shooting star
Brighter than you ever were

It's a nightmare
Being overshadowed
By dreams of the sun
Replaced by love,
Hope, joy, life... **with her
Hey everyone,

I'd like to propose a challenge.

Grab a book, any book, and open to page 49.
6th line.
5th word.
Make a poem, and use that word as its title.
Be sure to make sense, and relate the topic to title!

Tag your poems as bookpoemchallenge so I can check them out. I'll be sure to like, comment, add to collection, share the poems which I enjoyed reading.
Best of luck.
Please like and share this so it will trend and more and more people join on this lovely challenge!
you say i'm funny
because i prefer rain over sunshine 80% of the time
it's no joke to me though
because rain could mean thunder
and the thunder brings a chance of lightning
and the electricity reminds me of that night with you
my hand tingling because of your tight grasp on it
i laid on the wet pavement
quoting Walt Whitman
you sat with closed eyes listening to the rain
and me

Depression is the view from a plane.

Beautiful.
Intricate.
Far away.
Too close.
Out of reach.
Memorable.
Suffocating.
Vast.
Below us.
And above us.

Depression is something all around us.
Little Jamar raised
His voice authoritatively,
"I'm a man, and
Men don't cry!"

Jordan grabbed him
By the shoulders,
And admonished him,
"Men don't cry..",
He exclaimed.
"Boy who told you that lie?
Men do cry sometimes."
Of course they do.

hello?
can you hear me?
can you see me?
hello?
hello?
do you still want me?
do you still call me home?
hello?
hello?
where did you go?
