 Oct 2014 Blue Sweater
Urmila
It was the night of the crimson moon,
Maybe that explains,
The stir in the sea of emotions,
A wave of fear,
Then one of courage,
A wave of love,
Then one of indifference,
Crashing on the shore of the heart,
Logic threw boulders,
To avoid another crash,
But the waves, stronger,
Strengthened by the moon,
Overcame,
Submerged
sweet lover
you are woven into me
closer than marrow and lacing nerve
joined in harmonious vibration
the pulse deep in life's current
closer to me than I am to myself
there is no self
but in us combined
Someone has started a war once again
says the news bulletin; the news caster
munch it again and again, tempting
listeners as if it is her favorite nutrient pill.

Gloom spreads in the after noon, distressed lovers
are getting ready to live together some time soon,
"Only if things fall in place, without any hitch
and the world decides to be kind" they resolve.

Like the background score, they hear the wails of children,
their lives are destroyed for ever by precision warheads
made in the best of factories, yes death creation, is a business for profit
not too may'll shy away from such prospects,

isn't gun a reality of life?

(protect it with life, what if if destroys life bit by bit)
Why he asks her, is there no bar, in creating war for fun
she says they must start one, the sooner they can,a war to end all wars,
till the moment one or both go down offering no surrender
or a law to stop making wars, is to be brought  in force at gun point.
Allow warheads to stockpile, to get rusted, harmlessly go waste,
so that all in this world once more can feel safe,
                                                                  the beleaguered lovers dream
Coming in terms  with the dynamics of war is the most obscene demand one has to deal with in our blood thirsty times...
Lady, lady, never start
Conversation toward your heart;
Keep your pretty words serene;
Never murmur what you mean.
Show yourself, by word and look,
Swift and shallow as a brook.
Be as cool and quick to go
As a drop of April snow;
Be as delicate and gay
As a cherry flower in May.
Lady, lady, never speak
Of the tears that burn your cheek--
She will never win him, whose
Words had shown she feared to lose.
Be you wise and never sad,
You will get your lovely lad.
Never serious be, nor true,
And your wish will come to you--
And if that makes you happy, kid,
You'll be the first it ever did.

I fed you to the wolves,
I should have known better..
You were my better half.

I grew up in a beautiful home
Cozy with a strong foundation
I've lived in this home for over a decade
So how dare you go and take it?
****** it out of my hands
I don't believe in the rupture
But surely
This is the end

I loved this home
It was a place I called my own
It raised me
And made me
And really it saved me

I believed in forever
But my home is crumbling
I tried patching up the cracks in the wall
But no form of cemented love
Can keep this home strong
It is gone
And all I can do now is mourn
The death of my home
Keep calm and carry on

Rain clouds cover my home
And I seem to be ******
Into a black hole
With so many stories untold
I feel I've lost gold
Maybe its payment
For the dues I owed
My home is taken and
I'm left in the cold
With no hope

I know you may not understand
But this home is all I had
This is not just any home
Sadly
The home's my family
There are stories in your eyes.

I never told you how
sometimes I fell asleep
with the thought that you
were perhaps the moon-

always disappearing
with the dawn.
I would awake with
nothing
but the shape of you
on my bed and the
gloom of you on
my skin.
