You have a garden in your bones and the universe on your skin
The spots on your face and scars on your knees aren't flaws
They are stars being born and stars that are slowly dying
You are not pretty, you are interesting
Mankind has made an entire subject about what you carry

And don't worry about hurting
The roses that are blooming inside you are just growing thorns
There are also vines that needed pruning
So on nights you don't feel spectacular, here's a vision:
A meadow teeming with life inside you
self-awareness and self-love

it is at moments after i have dreamed
of the rare entertainment of your eyes,
when(being fool to fancy)i have deemed

with your peculiar mouth my heart made wise;
at moments when the glassy darkness holds

the genuine apparition of your smile
(it was through tears always)and silence moulds
such strangeness as was mine a little while;

moments when my once more illustrious arms
are filled with fascination, when my breast
wears the intolerant brightness of your charms:

one pierced moment whiter than the rest

—turning from the tremendous lie of sleep
i watch the roses of the day grow deep.
raising wall
closing door
earth won't keep us
longer more

sun will burn
out one day
turn ashes' urn
our earthly way

but much before
what could happen
we burn her more
than earth can gain

drip by drip
we bleed her dry
go on trip
for a home in sky

if pause to think
how come this need
we're on brink
for endless greed

distrust and fight
waning smiles
can things be bright
out billion miles?

i wanted to tell you i loved you,
but the butterflies in my stomach swarmed my throat, and all the words got caught in their wings

So happy this was picked for the daily! Thank you all so much for your kind words and support of my writing. I appreciate it, truly.

if i believe
in death be sure
of this
it is

because you have loved me,
moon and sunset
stars and flowers
gold crescendo and silver muting

of seatides
i trusted not,
                    one night
when in my fingers

drooped your shining body
when my heart
sang between your perfect
*******

darkness and beauty of stars
was on my mouth petals danced
against my eyes
and down

the singing reaches of
my soul
spoke
the green-

greeting pale-
departing irrevocable
sea
i knew thee death.

                              and when
i have offered up each fragrant
night,when all my days
shall have before a certain

face become
white
perfume
only,
          from the ashes
then
thou wilt rise and thou
wilt come to her and brush

the mischief from her eyes and fold
her
mouth the new
flower with

thy unimaginable
wings,where dwells the breath
of all persisting stars

never said it'd be easy
never said it'd be fine
all i said is that it will be worth it
it'll be worth your time

cause when the sun
shines
upon us all
cause when the moon
light
tells us our faults
we will rise
we will stand
we will claim our position
we will climb
higher than before
we will own the floor

young
and wild
we want it all
we'll be fine
as long as we are
together
in this
we will rise
again
we will
rise again

it is harder
it is darker
it is larger than before
we are growing
we are learning
never been through this before
but the sun will shine
the birds will sing
and we will learn to live
we will succeed
we will bleed
we will survive this

for the youth
too often underestimated
misunderstood
for the youth
is
our future
we'd better make it good

one day
we will learn to forgive
learn to give more than we take
we will become
people of worth
and we will take it all

so raise your glasses
toast to us
toast to the future ahead
it's in my hands
it's in your hands
and we will **never give in
// despite our flaws, im proud of us. we will rise, we will win. //

you said love is hard when it's not reciprocated.
(i blinked)

you said it hurts looking at her from the outside in
and that you're tired of being on the sidelines
(i held my breath)

you told me your heart breaks a little,
when she can't take her eyes off him
yet here you are, begging God
for her to spare you a glance - just one.
(my throat tightened)

you said you're lucky to have me,
as your best friend
and i remember exactly how i faked a smile.
that smile was probably the biggest lie i ever told.

and then you asked,
"why do we fall in love with people we can't have?"
(i looked away)

"how do you handle this?"

i inhaled sharply, as i held back my tears;
**"i'll show you how."
