Anxiety-ridden
She lay hidden
In the nest she called her room

Lost in oblivion
Her mind was labyrinthian
With no way to escape in sight

No love was given
Her heart was never forgiven
And was let to rot in peace
I think I was talking about myself, or idk
Why do I
have to surrender?
Deep down
in the end,
you know the fault is not mine.

I'm occupied by my thoughts,
they drown me sometimes...
Do you know what it's like
to be afraid of your own mind?
I shut myself from the world,
In my bed, I hide...
I wish I could be like you,
unafraid, alive....
but that's not me at all,
I've been afraid all these years...
I wish I could escape it,
but it is what it is.......

Tryst
A darkness crept into my waking crypt,
Its tendrils coiled to grip my tortured throat,
Till retching, retching, gurgled on a rote,
Prostrate, held in its clutches, tightly gripped —
No eye perceived this devil as it slipped
From day to blackened day inside to gloat;
An instrument was I to sound its note,
A plaything used, discarded, broken, stripped —
The world became a window; The outdoors
Turned alien; The beast remained inside,
Content to keep the prison of my mind —
From time to time I dared unto the stores,
But ever on returning I would find
The nightmare waiting where we both reside.

Dear depression
I'm writing to let you know
That I don't have anything else to give
You took away all my hope

What more do you want of me
The few breaths that I take?
They're not even for me I swear
I just don't want them to break
The ones who still care about me
Somehow you weren't able to push them away
I guess they're stronger than I'll ever be
But I don't want you to make them ache

Hurt me bruise me take my soul
But let my body here
For them , not me , I'm miserable at my best
But I can't let them live in fear

Dear depression
Please subside
We can live together
Just don't make me die

see
love, do you see like me?
the glass we look through
is it the same?
look around like few do
do you care
how curtains look in the dark?
can you feel the air?

love, see like me
can you see the wind?
if you try you can see
waves and wakes
have you ever looked at the moon?
have you seen the pages of an old book?
look at me, my love
see like me
I wish humans could see
we're meant to be free
Only some understand
Most are asleep
We are meant to be
up in the trees
or running through fields
and jumping in leaves
It's make believe
what we've come
to believe
And it's sad to see
From up in my tree
let's be free and grow veggies.
