I made you my mother
and then,
you were lost.

My cat’s become so critical
of the pieces that I write
he kneads to express his opinion
and he always thinks he’s right.

He twitches his ear-itation
if I don't write in Senryus.
If what I write displeases him
he’s under the bed for refuge.

He’s worse than many teachers -
his reviews are seldom neutered -
he pointedly wags that twitchy tail
or cat-calls disapproval.

He laid across my laptop
for half the afternoon
‘til I promised an ode to tuna
which earned purrs of hallelujah!

that long-distance relationships
do not exist.
that love doesn't care if it's three
feet apart or three thousand
miles between.

i scream at the top of my lungs asking for your guidance
but still i am left unheard
you never reply
and i am left drowning in my own tears

I'm a poet
I write
for the sole reason
of writing
I just want to bleed
my heart out
on this piece of paper

I might be too happy
For poetry
Bemoaning the past
Just isn't for me
I don't happen to have a tortured soul
With demons hiding about
I laugh and cackle
Like a witch with no cares
And scare all those demons out

I don't know
when I'm coming back
but i hope you will be
my guiding light
sun, you are my moon

Feeling the dark
Side of midnight
Trying not to
Let tears drop
Upon  my dampened
Shirt
Struggling to.
Find a pen
To write away
The pain
