We're all in a sea of souls
Struggling to survive
It's hard to find much peace of mind
It's hard to stay alive
The water's full of monsters
For some reason they thrive
Wasps that sting, and poisonous bees
There are many hives
There are those who'd drag you down
So they can have "blessed lives"

Mermaids sing a siren song
Beside the whirlpools
There are wraiths upon the waves
Sea dragons and ghouls
Islands made of straw and grass
The devil has his tools
You could climb upon them
To sink like silly fools
You're in an ocean full of lies
Herein Satan rules

But there is is an Island
Made of rock and stone
You can find Safe Haven
You'll never be alone
Sandy beaches wash away
This you will be shown
On this Island there is a Fortress
He'll call you His own
He will help you weather storms

And he will take you Home


You can play a million parts
Be cast in many roles
Walk in boots with steel toes
But find they have no soles
Go to kitchens to get soup
And find there are no bowls
Follow all the precepts
And find there are no rules
You can climb on life rafts
And find they have great holes
Be lured to many beaches
Cast on many shoals
But there is just one way out

you are not your health, or lack of it
not your failings or successes
or your popularity, or your aloneness
not your job description, or your unemployment

No, you are much more than all these things

its amazing what can happen when you put things into the Spirits hands
even the most fleeting time spent giving things over to your God
can reap a harvest overflowing with what one could term as wonderful success.

when you share the same spirit
and with your daily ****** needs basically unified
its a fact of love that you wish to help in some way your fellow Man
who may be lacking in what is their due justice.
So sing poets, sing of what you wish to give away, that so your sisters and brothers may hear your song in their forced silence, their prison, their hunger and thirst, their mind, body and soul.

i catch glimpses of myself hiding behind a wall of memories
was that really who I was is a conundrum I fail to solve
so I watch my past unfold in a place in my mind i thought had died
so long long ago that it all seems like make believe cartoons I made up just to make myself shudder and laugh and cry and cringe and cry again
thankful that after an eternity I come back to my senses and decide to leave off the self berating and accept I really did move on and they are just memories after all and no amount of analysis will change a thing.

I take a sip of truth and drink an ocean of doubt
the fire from the sip burns free and deep
and the ocean washes in and out, a tidal of foam
and I find myself in the surf holding my candle
still alight, a torch too bright for the dark to extinguish.

The Sun claims as her own
sea, field and hill

Gambolling new life, lambs
feed from mothers proud

Cows and calf roam the summer
pasture all their own

This sedate time of plenty
unfolds as if a dream.
