Five impossible seconds ago

Maybe the world would hold it's breath

I woke up late
And dropped a contact down the drain
I walked to school dry
Until it started to rain
My lunch had expired
And a bully had her fun
I was horribly tired
Then I walked home
This time I cried
But on the path near my house
I wiped my tears and grinned
Because even though right now
Everything may not be okay
Tomorrow I am getting
