nothing would make me happier
than to hold your hand for the rest of our lives
grow old with you
and watch our grandchildren play under
the magnolia trees in the summer sun.

Your skin isn't a paper, don't cut it.
Your promise isn't a glass, don't break it.
Your goal isn't a game, don't miss it.
Your face isn't a mask, don't cover it.
Your size isn't a book, don't judge it.
Your comedy isn't a channel, don't change it.
Your life isn't a film, don't end it.
You can't see it but I do that-
You are beautiful.

astonishingly
nervous
for lips tasting
of cheap wine

do i scare you?

you touch me like
the slightest misstep, could
break me

is this
tenderness, or
fear?
Sun
She looked at him like he was the sun,
In that she never looked at him,
Except out of frustration.

She complained when he was gone,
But she never looked.

On days he was stronger, she hid from him
On days he was muted, she complained.

She never looked at him until he was leaving,
And in the beauty of the sunset she wondered how,
She'd never seen him before
Found this on Tumblr a while ago, felt I’d share it

Of all the things a man can say,
the worst is i forgot.
for it is the doom of men that they forget,
and of women they do not.
Bay
The man
who kept
his emotions
at bay
drowned
in them
all
one
winters
day
him
he came to her in spring
with bright flowers in his hands
and a song on his lips

he smiled at her in summer
with the radiant sun shining on his hair
and ice cream melting on his fingers

he held her close in autumn
with leaves dropping all around him
and warm hands in the cold breeze

but he was gone when winter came
with no goodbye, he vanished
and she was left alone to watch the snow fall
just as she had fallen for him
Years later I will remember your name
And all the sweet things
And wonder what could have changed
Between two strangers
