~Midnight. Heaven is
bathing, the window open.
Just a kiss away.

—Jane Miller, "American Odalisque", The Gift of Tongues

He, the moon, and I
written March 2nd, 2021

My love and I
look up at our night skies
during this midnight time we share

our eyes looking at
the same stars
in our heavens so far apart

the moon baths us
in its gentle light
embracing both of us

I am envious of the moon
touching my love
when I can not

so I ask the moon
to kiss him for me
lovers are we
he, the moon, and I.
This poem is a combination of truth, fiction, and imagination. Written while thinking about a friend far away.
while the cold wind keeps me walking
I am passing by
your lightless window frame with empty walls behind

the memory of you has me heavy hearted
remembering  better times
while the cold wind keeps me walking
Like the wind whispers everywhere
Caressing everything while passing
Such is the essence of this life
enlightening of heart and soul
to come to  peace of mind.
Everlasting.

There’s uneasiness
In the waves between

A nagging emptiness
Of unfulfilled routine

Can you truly claim
You’re living your dream?

Pain, yes “pain” make us strong
Exercise it or suffer along
Feed back is what we seek
We’re all a bunch of egotistic freaks

Take the good with the bad
Don’t know nothing and be glad
The masters fall like eggs from walls
Sniveling stars grow ya some *****!

I keep your perfume dabbed note by my bedside
Every time I sleep, yours is the last scent I know;
And every time I wake you kiss me good morning
A cruel reality makes the dream all the more sweet
she broke me

She said "I'm falling in love."

I said "I'm falling apart."
What's the difference?
