ThePoet's challenge**
easy lose/hard gain

A part of your heart surely dies
When a loved one tells a lie
Trust is easily debased
And is not easily replaced!
Another one I considered...
... one's FIGURE!

There once was a beautiful girl
Who had a habit of looking straight ahead
Whenever she was out on a walk
And she'd happen to miss whatever
Was at her feet
And there was also another girl
Who was considered ugly and plump
Who always looked down at her feet
Whenever she was walking
Due to depression
One day she saw something
At her feet that lifted her spirits:
A one million dollar bill
And so she went home happy

We can all learn something from this!!! ;) ~~~~~<3
This was inspired by a conversation with my dad...
He told me that my great-grandfather used to say:
"Don't always look straight ahead
Coz you might miss something at your feet"!!!
Just thought I needed to share this with y'all!!! :) ~~~~<3
Have a nice day, each of you who read this!!! ~~~~~<3
Maybe crazy is all but sane, but they lie to keep you, to tame your brain.
But spirit belongs not to this place, it outlives body, it has no face.

So while you dwell upon the earth, I urge you discover your intrinsic worth.
For when we tap into our all, never again by flesh we fall.

So ask the questions and seek what’s true, take a swim in your deepest blue.
In deepest blue when you find you, on earth you’ll know what’s false and true.

she paints ugly things in pretty colors
she runs with the devil and whispers with the saints
she is a good girl in bad times
she's a angel in disguise
you can find her riding shotgun
in the roughest part of town
you can find in her the softest heart
she is a flower blooming in a field of thorns
she is a woman to be reckoned with
and a force of nature to be feared
but she will always be kind and gentle
she paints ugly things pretty colors
and gives them happy homes
she really is an angel in disguise
(for the grocery store girl)

If I pen down why I'm this way now, will it be a sad truth?
If the yellow-ochre walls turn grey somehow, can I call this a gloomy day?
Can all people bear the sickness inflicted upon them-
Or are some of us superhumans and the rest just ordinary men?
If I scribble some things I saw in a dream and feel better about today-
Will you tell me why the last day we met was the last day I wept-
yet I'm not doing better now anyway?

Damsel in distress
but in Indian streets.
Look how she walks
and, look how she speaks
she takes too much pride in her being
she's asking for it, isn't it?
Look how she talks- her hands fluttering
Look how she weeps now
Her hands quivering.
In memory of all the lives lost to monstrosities which are more common than you'd think.
Upon the shores of Malachite
Next to the cobalt seas
Under molten silver slivers of moonbeams
That shatter on the crystal icing
Covering the diamonded waterfall
By the golden sand . . .
Gather the Unicorns
Of Neptune , Uranus , and Pluto and beyond
Playfully cavorting between
Steel seas and emeralded mountains
On the frozen sands of time unchanged
For a thousand Earth's comings

But it's just a dream
A lunacy , a nothingness in the night
All my Unicorns have taken to flight
And were never there
Or were they ?

All the frozen seas . . .
Are now warm Florida Keys
Under a full August moon
And all the mountains . . .
Are impossible fears
That have faded into prairies
Swelling like seas
And there are no proof prints
In the sands of time
Of a far away race
Frozen in time

I have been on one of those frequent mind adventures
the kind you only acknowledge when you have returned.
The kind that your teacher would mark down as day dreaming
the kind that non day dreamers would call useless, and in the process, cancel out their importance in the scheme of things altogether.
