Remember when you used to call me 'my lucky charm'?
And I don't know why it's always working -- me as your lucky charm.
And I knew that today you won the tournament.

Am I still your lucky charm, love?
I guess not. She replaced me, right?

and I hope you sunshine, warm nice tingling against your skin kind of prayers.

Don't say you love me,
because soon enough
you'll forget the way I laugh,
                     the way I talk,
the way I say your name,
my scent when you get close to me,
                     my favorite song,
                     you will forget about me.
and soon enough,
I'll miss how you make me feel,
How we spend many nights with our conversation till we fall asleep,
             your laugh,
             your sound,
the way you say my name,
your scent when you get close to me,
             how you hold my hand,
*I'll never forget everything about you.

Take my hand,
Outside, look, tell
Me what you see.
"Clouds swirling together in the sky,
Wavering plains, green grass swaying in the wind,
And on that hill, a tree."
Squeeze my hand,
Ask me what I see.
"I see mankind's escape, the root of the word natural,
And everything that is beauty.
I see the chaos of accidental art, the brightness of innate happiness,
And its most important, crucial ability."
Squeeze your hand,
Fingertips stroking emotions onto my skin,
Look yourself in the mirror,
Written on your sharp cheekbones,
I'll tell you what I see.
I see clouds, swirling together in the sky, wavering plains, green grass swaying in the wind,
And on that hill, a tree.
Beneath your half closed eyes, and through the waves of your voice,
I see everything,
Everything that is beauty.

******* and
**** your white knuckles shaped like the hills in Tennessee
And **** your soft lips that dry out in the sun
And **** your tan skin and your heartbeat
And **** your indecisive eyes that can never pick between green or blue
And **** your brown and blonde hair that you NEVER do anything with
And **** your silence
And
**** your smile
And the way the sun hits your teeth
And
*******

...for taking over my head...
I can't get you out.
******* for making me fall in love
With everything you are.

Love is seeing you in the bottom of my coffee,
It's feeling a cigarette burn into my skin,
It's hearing your voice cracking in the branches of my trees,
It's watching the moon turn red in April and not being able to focus on the stars anymore,
It's staring into my drawers, feeling my fingernails scratching the wood looking for change,
Its licking a lit match,
And finding a golden dollar in your backyard under the sandbox,
It's getting in a car crash at 60 mph on a congested highway and never being able to drive again without thinking about hitting a concrete wall,
It's holding your ******* hand and your cold skin and knowing it has nothing but warmth underneath,
And its wanting to die before I hit thirty.
It's burning, it's certain, and it's haunting.
I'll never be without that.

If I didn't have a stage,
I'd be dead by now
He breathed her in as if she were his only source of oxygen

When you look at me
I'm not sure I understand what your eyes are trying to tell me.
But
Please don't stop looking at me
because I'm afraid I'll stop trying to understand.

When you stand so close to me
my knees turn to water.
But
Please come a little closer,
the distance between us
makes them weak anyway.

When you speak
the butterflies in my stomach flutter wildly and seek for an escape
But
Please don't stop speaking,
when you are silent
they grow stiff and turn grey.

Please
gaze at me a little longer,
stand a little closer,
& utter words of poetry
For my heart only beats and pumps without those things.
But
with them
It starts and it stops.
Beats and thuds and flutters.
Smiles and laughs and cries.

Breathes.
As always,
for 168.
