Most people live for love
But some of us live because of it

Such unforgivable forgetfulness
Lost within potential photos
Preoccupied and overly abrasive
Harmless yet persuasively implicit
These eyes are speechless
But explicitly dying to speak
A picture so perfect for lust
A thousand words
Just isn't enough
Deeply indebted
With every glance
  Too perplexed by color
  How none of it belongs
  Another illustrated nightmare
Where sleep is prolonged
Where the sick plans
To escape with the thought
Trapped inside the mind
So adolescent
Oh picture the heartache
Rejoicing over a carcass
Still standing
And rapturing moments
We all long to feel
This winter shiver
So sicken from cold feet
An undying hunger
For butterfly soup
Proof
What worthy time to be alive
Clearly sold on the vision
Never too hasty to cover
This lover isn't blind
But envisioned
May we all fall victim
To the photos
We aren't viable to find

Your lips
Your eyes
Tell dangerous
sweet lies
to me.

Your *******
Your thighs
Are the places
I fantasize
to be.

Your whispers
drown her cries
As morals
cease
to be.

I give in
Don't realize
I'm your prisoner
And you won't
Set me free.

Goosebumps rose as if in a little rebellion of sorts,
Our hands desperate to counter the state of unrest,
Exploring the human contour that lay before them,
For places where we could hide,
Or unhide.

Curling up, exchanging the warmth of our souls
Through our skin,
We took turns to savour, and be each other's saviour
Forging shields through our embraces,
As we lay in bed looking at each other's faces.

Our bodies decided to ally
Against the ever so conspiring chill
And even as the temperatures outside kept dropping,
The passion inside knew only one way to go - rise, rise, rise.

My sleep has left me
As I lay beneath the moon
The lone wolf watches

A sleepless night made me get up and write this,  now I can go back to sleep!

We are all poets
In the same boat
The reason we write
Just to stay afloat
There's no other reason
Of that I know
For us as poets
To stay afloat

So draw the anchor
Hoist the sail
We'll all rhyme our way
Clear outta here
Sailing the pantoum oceans
With the sonnet seas
Casting our lot
In the poetic breeze

Steering riddling rudders
Across verses in waves
Until the very last day
We're made to walk the plank
As we are all poets
In the same boat
Trying our best
Just to stay afloat
