Like ashes from a burning sea
Her sandy beaches lay
Shored upon the land it coats
From forceful ocean wave

And as the tide draw up at dusk
The beach is coaxed within
Until tomorrow she must hide
Til tide retreats again
You bruise me like the evening sky,
purple clouds forming on my sunset skin.
I never knew that galaxies could ache,
as fingertips trace,
the constellations of your affections.
Don't write to please others
It won't be the truth anyway

Don't write to be edgy
If it means you don't even believe what you just said

Don't write to be popular
For popularity doesn't always mean quality

Don't try to write what you think someone wants to hear
Dare to be yourself
You agitate, I soothe

I laugh, you cry

You procrastinate, I plan

I toil, you sleep

You mingle, I retreat

I reach, you blench

You deceive, I release

I purify, you violate

You mystify, I enlighten

I grow, You shrink

You ignore, I explore

I create, you destroy

You devour, I nibble

I give, you take

You walk, I run

I defend, you assault

You subtract, I add

*I love, you hate
