Shallow seas but I dived in
The deep dry ocean

We're almost touching.
we were walking side by side,
you're talking about cabs in your hometown.
I can feel the gravity of your hand, calling my fingers
whispering "it's alright."

We're touching but not quite.
you held my shoulder to protect me from the passing cars.
and for the first time in a long while, I felt so fragile.
In this world where I find it hard even to breathe,
you believed me.

I almost said it.
All I need is one ounce of strength to tell you every single thing that I have ever felt about you.

I want to find home in your collarbones.
Would you be kind enough to let a stranger in?
I want to seep in your being because I'm cold.
The world is harsh and my cracks are aching.

Almost.
Please don't ever become a stranger,
whose laugh I can recognize anywhere.

Marry me.
I've longed for you so long,
My fingertips swell
As they reach for something
Untouchable.
Marry me.
I'm shedding dreams
Like the leaves
On my ginseng tree.
Marry me.
As the quiet months pass by,
My eyes droop;
I fall fast asleep.
Marry me.
> do not step in the fairy rings
> the neatly circle like mushrooms will call you to
> the fairy folk will dance you away laughing
> take you where one century passes in a minute

> don't do it
> stay away from the too bright meadows
> in the too silent forests

he steps in each and every circle he can find

he steps in them and closes his eyes

when nothing happens he steps out
and sighs

ah
*still the last one of my kind

How can you smile so brightly
While life burns so unkindly
You hear music playing sweetly
While someone treats you cruelly
Inside the fire you didn’t start

How can life burden you so unfairly
While your heart loves unconditionally
All we see is the love you send freely
Who would make such a beauty
Live inside a fire she didn’t start?

I wonder if you will ever find
The feelings you once had
Your smile is all that is left
I would never know sadness
If I was always looking at you
Only you know what’s true

How can you live so calmly
Being treated so wrongly
No flower should be so lonely
Who could live their life so coldly
Feeding the fire you didn’t start?

Let me take you home
I only want to cool your mind
To believe in tomorrow
You have enough time
The way you look at me
You are so much more than sorrow
I took a stroll with the Queen of the stars
We discussed things that define who we are
Like our place in the grand program of life
This knowledge a curse we both share in strife

Genius of the time; existential insanity
One in the same if you were to ask me
Her smile lets it be, calm and honest
All that is ends, even the flawless

But her beauty remains radiant and immense
A nova of great curiosity and sense
Try to define, it could never be art
There does not exist such questions for heart

Her presence unexpected as the cosmic
Her impression a constant just as chronic
She lives spontaneous as existence itself
Her conscious bares no resistance for self

An afternoon passes as fleeting a moment
The system demands we keep our movement
I hope her orbit swings back around here
Even if it takes yet another year

There are demons in your closet
It is obvious to me
You left the door wide open
Setting those ******* free

Anger lashed out first
With razor sharp claws
Shredding the unsuspecting
Without hesitation or pause

Beneath him is resentment
Forever locked up tight
Hidden within for years
Now more than ever, ready to fight

Betrayal weighs heavy
Taking up the most room
Can’t sweep it under the rug
There isn’t a big enough broom

Don’t disregard the guilt
Or forget about shame
These two big players
Are leaders of the game

Amidst the whirl wind of chaos
And the fury of rage
A broken heart exposed through fear
Makes its way to center stage

Vulnerability is waiting
She can keep your closet clean
Nourish you with love
Making those demons less mean

As the spotlight shifts its focus
There seems nowhere to hide
Will you crawl back into darkness?
Or simply swallow your pride?

When you get out of elementary
And you start craving for love
Whether for support or the joy of it
You feel like you’re flying high as a dove
Then it all comes crashing down
As you realize
That they like somebody else
And you fall
Into a pit
Of seemingly never ending sadness
And you throw a fit
That the one you loved left
Until you see another somebody
And you find they have feelings for you
And this cycle goes on
And on
And on
Until you find that one somebody
And then you dawn on something
That you and them
Are meant for each other
Forever
I was inspired by Rylie Lucas (my friend irl) to write some poems, and I think this one turned out okay!
