These honey thick words
Stick to the tip
Of my tongue
And syrupy thoughts
Are hard to swallow

©FaerieFoxPoetry
I want to
Pour
My heart out
So you can
Drink
Your fill

©FaerieFoxPoetry
When I am enveloped

In raw earth,

Microcosm in my flesh,

Loneliness

Will no longer haunt

Hollow bones
Sometimes
I am a phantom limb
Passing through the body
Of a listless lover
Unnoticed

©FaerieFoxPoetry
Sometimes I think of those nights
Flowing through the veins of the city
Coursing along the waterfront
Carried along by inky waves
Watching the wind dance a waltz
With the leaves at my feet
As I walked that concrete stage

©FaerieFoxPoetry
I have taken midnight station
Set in quiet contemplation
Sipping on the thickest silence,
Such a sickly-sweet libation

©FaerieFoxPoetry
Silence can be addictive.
Jagged words have a way
Of cutting through
Clenched teeth
And sealed lips
Destroying dams
Built in bloodied mouths
And soft hearts
Remember the golden rule.
