They call the ship 'Burden,'
An indestructible vessel,
Rival to the monsters of the sea.
It's exactly what the people needed,
For you see,
In the depths lurked a beast.
Eighty tentacles, four trade ships tall and wide,
A hundred-thirty teeth when it's smile lied.
They called it, "Kraken."
It was nothing of the likes you've seen,
Emperor of the dark sea.

The Burden could hold fifteen hundred men,
Arming harpoons, cannons, muskets, wit.
The king ordered them to turn the seas red with gore,
Call forth the Kraken,
Strike it dead.
Then to the king,
They would drag back it's head.

So come high-noon,
The ship was in place,
Above the deepest of sea caves.
Letting forth crates of bait,
Staining the waters of the sea,
Until the sailors heard a rumble,
Shake the Burden's iron shell.

Up from the waters came long river's hell,
Tentacles like spires towering well beyond the sails.
But the crew held steady,
"Tighten the ropes, arm our cannons,"
Cried the captain,
"Then fire!"
The seas filled with blood,
The sky filled with gunpowder, fractured shells,
A shriek rang out from the deeps.
The cry of death,
From the Kraken itself.
Tentacles sinking away,
"The head!" Cried the captian,
So Lutenent Lucus dived after the creature.

Tied by a rope,
Pike in hand,
The creature's head,
He began to drag.
Though, glancing over his shoulder,
Through the murk he could see,
The form of a woman swimming away.
Some curse broken, he decided,
A soul freed from grim reality.

Peace.
I love a good sea fairing story!
Lost in darkness in my life, in his eyes I found my light
When everything is wrong, he makes it right.

We can talk all night,
Spill secrets and gossip all day,
Talk about cute boys and girls,
Or those who betray.
We can go shopping in the mall.
Swimming in the pool.
I need new people,
Because I trust very few.
My health is deteriorated,
I know that’s a fact.
I just want someone by my side,
Who knows how to cheer me up,
Pull back my hair,
When I’m sick.
laugh till we both CANT breath.
I just wish for a person,
who’s someone knew.
I wish someone would talk too me,
Better than some others do,
It’s true.
I struggle day and night,
To build trust in the people I have,
To be honest,
I need to start anew!
Will you be my friend?
To infinity and beyond,
Is the word in my family.
We love, and carry, and trust.
to infinity and beyond,
And I need a new person,
Who respects that too,
Be my friend.
And we’ll connect.
I need to be more open,
So let’s be friends.
''How are you doing today?''                                                                sad  and depressed I want to say                                                                       but instead I mask up, so they can see                                                               a picture from a fashion magazine                                                                                                                                                                                             I straighten my back and stand tall,                                                                                                                                                                                                not even sure I can pull it off                                                                             a pasted smile on my face                                                                                   as I lean in for an awkward embrace                                                         during this time, you talk to me                                                                                                                                                                                                   unaware of my anxiety                                                                                                                                                                                        My eyes scan the room to see,                                                                     where's the nearest exit between you & me                                                                                                                                                                                               You go on & on, it never ends,                                                                    you're touching me like a long lost friend                                                  I excuse myself to the ladies                                                                                 look behind to see if you see me                                                                    then I run out trying to breathe,                                                                   hoping no door alarm's telling on me                                                              As soon as the cool night  air welcomes me                                                         I run until I am home safely
Please make me stay,
why should we say, Goodbye?
Open up your heart, give love another try.
Don't close the door,
don't let it die.
Please make me stay,
we're running out of time.

Didn't I make you smile,
more than I made you cry?
Didn't I bring you pleasure?
I can still hear your sighs!
I'm running out of reasons,
I'm running out of rhymes.

Please make me stay,
why should we say, Goodbye?
Open up your heart, give love another try.
Don't close the door,
don't let it die.
Please make me stay,
we're running out of time.

Don't you know my heart breaks,
just the same as you.
Don't you know I feel pain,
in the same way too?
I'm running out of words,
we're running out of time

Please make me stay,
Please make me stay.
Don't close the door,
don't let it die.
Please make me stay,
we're running out of time.
we're running out of time.

Don't let our love run out of time.
Out of time
out of time
out of time

Thanks.
Driving home today
my heart missed you
I embraced it--that strong emotion of longing
A daily occurrence
I'm lucky to have you to miss

. . .

(now, looking back)
I WAS lucky!
still am
...to have known you...

I'd rather miss you (however painfully)
than have those memories nonexistent
I'd rather wish you would talk
than not know how your voice would sound

Though that hope no more can flourish
the sentiments remain:
I'm lucky
missing you.

Don't be afraid to care about someone
A man, dejected
with a broken heart,
snapped all the ties
from his world,
roamed about places
one to the next
in search of peace.

One day he found himself
in a distant Fairy Land.
The fairies were surprised
to find him amongst them.
One fairy asked him
what he wanted.
Taken aback by the question
he said ,"A new heart."
The fairy said,"Don't worry, we do have a heart shop."
She took him there.
There he saw all kinds of hearts-
Some made of gold, some of silver,
and some normal too.

In another corner he saw
a collection of broken hearts
beautifully kept.
Out of curiosity he asked the fairy
why they kept those broken hearts.
She smiled and said,
"They are the epic story tellers."
Amazed by her words,
he left with his broken heart
back to his world.
In the back
of my mind
there’s a shadow
Covering
what’s never
to be

In the back
of my mind
there’s a memory
Reminding
what’s dearest
to me

In the back
of my mind
there’s a longing
Driving
me constantly
on

In the back
of my mind
there’s a mantra
Repeating
its message
— in song
