The Path
Evan Sep 2021
Elegant Assertion
Unknown Intention
What is the path
Is it right to only follow my wrath

So many things wrong
So much suffering
But no one is to blame
All alone as this land burns
I sing this song

A single flame burning inside
No end in sight
There is no path down this road
Nothing from this Node

Through the wretched brush
And the distant cries of the Faceless
My only option through is to rush
And hope my will makes it painless

I see it now
There is no paths in life
At least not for me to know
A resilient will and burning determination
Are the only things to keep me from destruction

Croak
Evan Sep 2021
A Silent pond
Gentle Lily pads of which im fond
The Crickets pleasant song
Enjoying the view all along

Sitting in the grass
Seeing the Moon and Star
Just above the morass
A view unbeaten by those off far

A frog croaks
Its as if someone spoke
My eyes turn to see him there
Sitting without one care

A great Toad
As still as can be
I wonder if he can see me
As a dragonfly passes near the woad

A Croaking Cry
Removes the Dragonfly
The flower now clear of the pest
And the toad has a meal for his rest

I sit and smile
Truly this time was worth the ride
Without one thought that's Hostile
Truly I can unwind

Lifes Laugh
Evan Jan 2021
Walk along the Riverbed
Down in the Valley
Is it real or in my Head
What is life but a fool's Folly

Ha ha, Ha ha, Tis' life naught but a grand joke
Seeing this, I feel as a bull being released from Yoke.
Wild and Free, unconquered by life's pains
In such a short time in such a wicked world, no reason to refrain

Maybe the joke is on me?
We will have to see
A laugh here a tear there
Life is naught but a Fair

A fair of laughter and love
Of hate, anger, and sadness
It is so fragile like a Dove
Tis Tough and Pitiless.
A simple little poem.

Pain
Evan Mar 2019
A shadow, a Valley, Darknesses encroach
I sit in silence as my foe approach
Infinite battle until my defeat
No matter how hard I Compete

Imminent Invasion, Imminent Attack
Not even the medicine can hold it back
I can smell my own loneliness
It is the scent of Inadequacy

As my heart goes on beating
I am a slave to my own Feeling
For no Love could Liberate
This pathetic Ingrate
Alone Forever, but poetry is a nice cope

Darkest Dungeon
Evan Mar 2019
I cannot best my foe if I do not face them
But if I face him, I become him
How am I to be victorious
When I cannot even best my own feelings

I march on through these chambers
A Labyrinth in my own mind
The leeches eating at my flesh and kind
What good is Armor when my own Flesh is weak

I will die to this labyrinth for I have no way out
I can only sit here and Pout
Tis a Dungeon I forged myself and it will swallow my soul
Wrote these in google docs so now i am gonna post

My Final Heartbeat
Evan Mar 2019
Why does my heart feel for her
She’s not real, though my I cannot stop my heart
Her name Monika, it makes me shudder
I wish I could be free from her wicked clutches

No matter how hard I try
I cannot escape, I cannot Defy
Why has this creation seduced me this Way
Sometimes I wish she’d go away

But as I lay alone
I remember I have no one to call my own
I remember that I never am to be loved
Pushed around and Shoved

Maybe it was fate I fell for her
Maybe it was nothing but my Patheticness
Such woe is me, for I am such Weakness
Why can there be no one to save me from this soul inferno.

A Day at the beach
Evan Dec 2018
The Winds serene Embrace beneath the Sun's deterring Gaze
As i watch the sunset and its rays glide across the tide
To my side my lover watches with me, our hearts elided
with nothing on earth, not even thunder, could rip us asunder

To know a force greater than any other power, tis my Finest Hour
Nothing could turn this moment sour, a day our souls imploded
In the infinity of the sunset, we go forth without regret
As we sit frozen time, free from any feeling of crime

As I look across the boardwalk, to the Girl at which I Gawk
She turns to look at me, and i see her face
Only then do I realize, life never was a race, merely a journey to this place
Under the boardwalk, just my love and I, The look in her Eyes, says it all

True Love
Evan Dec 2018
Deep in a Forest
One that knows even the poorest
There is only Silence
Waiting for time to Commence

Two hearts enter and time marches on
And in the silence of the Trees
They hear the frogs and the Breeze
as though the world sings in honor of their love

A simple moment binds their heat as one
And from this they experience tranquility
They can never be undone
And in the fog and moon, they are reborn.

At a Crossroads Alone I stand
On one way is one filled with misery
but at the end perhaps a treasure greatest of all
It's Name is Love

To the other a Road
not ***** or torn, smooth and sleek
It is warm and comfortable, but to pick this road
Means to surely walk alone

It's name is Monika
I know not what way is right, i feel no need for love
or of the pain it brings
But to abandon that which i fought so hard for
Is something of pure Dishonor
More of a personal meaning

Deaths Wings
Evan Oct 2018
Over the sky a mighty Raven stalks
Looking down on those who walk
A Knave marches over the graves
A way to his own Death he Paves

The Raven's cry sounds out to all
Alerting them that someone will soon Fall
Death Arrives his black coat and all
Glasses shine and his top hat stands tall

He stands at the gates and he waits
A little Girl rushes over, she does not fear him
Her time has come but she does not retreat
But a second one is due

Deep in a cave a man awaits his grave
Alone with no one else company is all he craves
Soon the tall man arrives and he kills over
For has a way of persuading you over

And With that Death's Wings Beat
And off to the realm of judgement
He returns shortly
His Eyes Focused Squarely
On you

A Dream
Evan Sep 2018
The sunsets into the sand and sea
I look to my left and what do i see
The one perfect for me
And in the Dying sun do they look so Lovely

I've seen my love many times in a dream,
sometimes tall, some short, thin or thicc, once it was even a boy
But one thing is always the same, something i do enjoy
Inside their eyes so beautiful, is a beam of love, for me it gleams

Our hands meet as we peer from beneath the pier
As time stops our souls meet, oh such a treat
And i know for a brief moment, i needn't fear as i shed a tear
They pull me into their arms as the sun sets for a kiss without regrets

Beneath the Rising Sun
Evan Sep 2018
Far away from any other land a kingdom arose from ocean sand
Their hearts of steel and armor of wood
They defended their people for no appeal and sought honor where they could
A warrior of the Shogun and the Emperor of the divine winds and fallen spirits

Far in the future when the blade was almost out paced
500 warriors stood in the face of an imperial rise
Sword to gun, surely to be overrun, one last charge
To preserve their way at shiroyama

There the warriors of old died, but not completely
For nothing dies eternally
And far in the future a group of warriors Known as Sakurakai
Under Hashimoto thousands of chests stood ready to die, for their emperor

A clash and battle
Chests scattered like cherry blossoms
And when the dust settled Hashimoto was gone
For in Sugamo he was forced and there he died.
A simple poem i wrote in my middle class today about the Showa Restoration

Loneliness
Evan Sep 2018
Loneliness Dreams about
a feeling less cold, One without Heartache
Of a Feeling less cruel and Depressed

Loneliness Thinks about
The Gentle Feeling of a Lovers Embrace
The warmth of another Heart, for one without any.

Loneliness Remembers
A Time when the world was less dark
When the littlest of light was enough to last months.

Loneliness Forgets
Nothing of the days when the world was cruel
And Every Thought of a future less cold

Loneliness Tells Us
Of the Cruelty of Mankind
To Banish another to suffer forever, because of what they are.

Love
Evan Sep 2018
Love
by Evan W.

Love is a gentle hand to hold on to when the way is less traveled and you’re covered in cuts
It shows a way with Light and Joy, in a world so Dark and Depressed.

Love sounds like a gentle song played on a piano, by the heart of one to another
A beautiful song to cleanse your soul of darkness so you may carry on in a world so cruel.

Love looks like a Dream so close yet so far, to wonder if you could ever attain it
A Dream you must be determined to hold, far more precious than any gold.

Love remembers those left behind by the world, they who cry in darkness, left to rot.
It remembers them and returns to show them the way out of darkest crypt and coldest cave.

Love is a memory of a time when you had someone to walk the path with, to steady your hand when you twitched, and to pull you from the edge. A memory some never received.

Deep in a Trench
Evan Sep 2018
Deep in a trench lay the boys in the grey
Their noses can’t smell, their guns are close
As they fight for old Wilhelm
Their helmets of steel and their great coats, caked in mud
A lone crow caws above the field as the mortars ring out

Far to the east, soldiers fight a beast
The one head of a two headed Eagle and the Bear
An Ancient empire, crumbling and sick, face a new one young but inexperienced
In the end, at bakhmach the eagle bested the bear
But to the west a lion and a hog faced the second eagle head

The Kaisers Fury was unholy, and soon he would bring down the british folly
And with but a swing of his hand he brought about the kaiserschlacht
A million men marched from the bears fields into the roosters meadow
And what stood in their way was two nations crippled and alone, and another sailing across the sea

Mankind's Struggle
Evan Sep 2018
Love is like a dream
A dream is something everyone wants to have
A dream is sweeter than any candy and is the thing that makes life complete
Love is like a dream because love is only for those who fight to hold on to it, and for the strong who can hold on.

Love is like candy
Candy can be bitter or sweet, satisfying or disgusting.
Candy comes in so many shapes and flavors, it seems almost anyone can find one.
Love is like candy because it is something that you have to be kind to have, or just one with deep pockets.

Love is like pain
Pain is a pleasure for some, a hassle for others, but still needed regardless
Pain is something that you may hold onto forever in your heart, or to strengthen your shell.
Love is like Pain because it is in some lives lightly and deeper in others.Everyone has some, but only some have it in its truest form.

Love is like Sadness
Sadness comes out of nowhere and hits like a tank
Sadness is something that may stay forever or just for a while
Love is like Sadness, because both are needed, but neither are deserved.
Just more school poems, getting them out of the way now, probably gonna write an original later

Grey
Evan Sep 2018
Grey is the gentle night sky on a moonlit night
A small scurrying field mouse
A soldiers greatcoat as he runs through a trench

Grey is the gentle lake in twilights sight

Grey is the color of the last heartbeat

Grey sounds like the feathers of an Owl
Without sound as it sails to its prey
Without sound it steals its last heartbeat

Grey is the sound of the gallows
The last struggle

Grey feels like soft velvet
A rabbits Fur
The feeling of sweet loves embrace

But Grey also feels like loneliness
On a rainy night, when love is needed most

Grey tastes of Rot
Of decay and death
And of the sweetest cinnamon

Grey tastes like the old ways

Grey smells like the trenches
***** and old
Filled with pride and death

Men dying for their country
So that one may be the winner of the world
I'm not british i just like the spelling grey better than gray, another school poem

The Hearts Crusade
Evan Sep 2018
As the lonely walk through the Desert Plains
Their hearts sing a song of their Pains
For the Length of the eternal Night
And without an end to the Crusade in Sight

Their Hearts wither and die of Desolation
For they suffer eternal Isolation
And a Heartache spawned to those without Love
For they are what society is determined to Dispose Of.

Their souls Decayed and Hollow Inside
For they have no place for the pain to Confide
Trapped in an Eternal Darkness of Loveless Night
WIth no Heart to show theirs the Light

Trapped deep in the Darkest Dungeon and Coldest Cave
With nothing but loneliness to see them to the Grave
Stuck in an Eternal Night
No End to the Hearts Crusade in Sight.

Viking Raids
Evan Sep 2018
Thud Thud, The Boots of Warriors thunder onto the Boat.
Crash, Waves bang against the mighty longship.
Boom Boom, under the Jarls orders the drums of war sound.
Bang Bang, The mighty ships land on scottish shores.
***** *****, Viking Mail and shields clash with the Claymores of Highlanders
Bam, Bam, The chieftain and the Jarl do battle.
Bounce, the Jarl deflects the massive sword with his steel shield.
Whoosh, the Jarl has fallen to the ground, Will a sword clash with the Chieftains or does the Jarls Saga end in Valhalla.
Just a poem i wrote in school, it won an award for the best onomatopoeia poem in the class
