Killed,
Life destroyed twice,
By the same action,
At different times,
But crushed,
Once again,
With the fear,
Of revelation,
Until,
Cast,
Out,
By,
Love.

I'm not the one that walked away
I'm not the one that stole your smile
I'm not the one that broke your heart
I'm not her

I'm just the girl you met one day
I'm just the girl that stood by your side
I'm just the girl that fell in love
You're just the boy that said goodbye

Because I'm not her.
shall I speak to you in the way you want
garnish you with my silly poems
of love and admiration
for the essence of each syllible and rhyme
are truly mine
I am new at this thing, be patient
If my words seem tangled, blame my heart
from being in awe of you to falling somewhere
between like and love
I need to tweak these new feelings
for me to be coherant
but let it be known, it started with
your first hello
Another bottle
Another thought
Take another shot
Well take two
No matter how many
I take I can't escape
The memory of you
I'll have another
Make this a double
Hell a triple of jack
Ignite a fire in my chest
But it's not the jack
That's causing the burn
It's the girl I'm trying to drink away

flustered
if i can't look you in the eye

i barely have the courage to look in the mirror
love thyself
O you pretty people
dancing
so wildly,
so seductively,
very drunkenly
under those artificial
strobe lights
in the city
that wants to ***** you
in that brand new
sports car
and g-string.

O you pretty people come
outside to the country
and drum circle
with us
in the labyrinth
to the cosmic-beat
under the real moonlight
in your bare feet
and ankle flowers.

O you pretty people,
do you hear the copper bells ring...
can you sing me a true love-tune?
Have we forgotten these things...
Should we really let emotions control us.

They flow in and out like the tides.

To understand true emotions you must
let go and let them flow.

The heart know what the heart needs.

Your soul cries out.
written August 2012
You found me hanging by a rope and gave me
love, you gave me hope
and I knew what I wanted
when I knew you,

In a consequence of time, we aged,
you became
the gold and
I,
the miner.
oh,
how much I knew you.

When Winter came we played that game
and one more Summer,
played again, Autumn flew in
through but then we knew that,
each of one and one in two
and time we knew had come for you and
oh,
how glad I was to ever know you.

Another hallelujah.
I stood beside of you and promised
Forever yours, forever mine
That I'd be by your side for all of this life
All the way to closing time

As we balance above the chasm
Holding hands on life's thin line
I want you to know I'll never let you go
That I'll be here till closing time

If things get a bit off kilter
Or we join in on the daily grind
I'll do what ever it takes with our love to make
It all the way to closing time

When the twilight years come aching
To dim our once youthful light
I'll remember the promise that we started with
As we draw near to closing time

And when on the wind we both are taken
As we leave it all behind
It will be with confidence we know that we made it
All the way to closing time
